Try using control and v to paste it, that might work. Usually it copies and pastes without a problem for me though so it might be the browser you're using.

If you post a new thread, does it deduct points off of you?

This currently only applies to Literary Works in the Browse section. Other areas may involve points in time, but for now, they're exclusive to Literary Works.

There isn't at the moment, but that will be coming back as part of the rennovation. For now, a few people have started posting contests in the lounge and you're more than welcome to join them ;)

When I post my work, despite making paragraphs, it is all just one big block of text. Why is that?

The board does not recognize/synthesize generic paragraph spacing the way word documents do--i.e. one enter making a new paragraph--and places text in normal order. To break apart your text, insert two line breaks where you want division. If you want a quick cheat to accomplish this, check out this thread where you can find instructions.

I plan on working on a very big...project. Should I post information on it in a forum or is there a better place? What ima be posting about is a need for people's thoughts, beliefs and such on different subjects. A condensed version is basically the character, not yet officialy named has comitted suicide many times over. I was hoping on getting people's opininons and such on various topics because I'm hitting on today's issues. Drugs/alcohol, LBGT and stuff like that.

Hi, Matthew!

You have a few options for this kind of situation, actually. :D

Firstly, if you're looking for opinions on any issues, my first thought (and probably my highest suggestion here) is venturing into the Serious Discussion & Debate forum. A lot of issues are discussed there, and you get a front row seat into various opinions on those matters.

There's also the Ask An Expert forum where you can just ask the question you need researched. Members can give you ideas as to what is involved in your topic and can point you in the right direction when researching deeper into your topic.

The Writer's Corner forum is also at your disposal, but this is mainly to keep your readers/followers/members-interested updated on your project's progress. Questions could be tied into these posts, however.

Additionally, you have a blog on YWS which you can use to reach out to members! You can set up a poll or ask people to give their opinions, start a polite discussion, etc.

Google, of course, is also an option.

There are a lot of ways to go about this, and these are just a few. Good luck on your project, and let me know if I confused you on anything! (Or if you need more clarification on anything else!)
I make my own policies.

So there isn't any way to edit reviews, is there? I keep messing up the coding. :(
She reflected. "I prefer stories about squalor."
"About what?" I said, leaning forward.
"Squalor. I'm extremely interested in squalor."

Not yet! The feature will come up in the future, hopefully. But at the moment, there's no way to edit reviews.

If you need to correct something, you can always reply with a comment to your review. The author will see it anyway. :D

It's easy! Click the black tab marked with a gear, then on that page click on the blue "Profile" tab. On the list to the left, click "Edit Avatar" and take it from there!
