Oh, maybe that's why? Anyone know how to do it in Opera or Explorer. I use both of those.

How in the heck do you get points?

You rewiew in the literary forums or people donate them to you.

Points are most easily acquired by reviewing. There a couple other ways--winning contest, having them donated to you by other people, etc--but reviewing's the easiest.

I still want a reply to my question about the smilies, but for now I have another question. How do you create pages?

Under the "Clubs" tab. 'Create a club', and go go go.

I get the same thing as you when dragging individual smileys to the page, but when I select (read: highlight) several it gives me the appropriate code, so I'm guessing if you really want to use them you can always select half a dozen and then remove the ones you don't want? Alternatively, just right-click the one you want, select 'View Image Info' and then copy-paste what's next to the 'Associated Text' line.

if i post my work then is it possible for someone to steal it?

Rayne--it's possible, yes, but unlikely. The majority of members wouldn't even consider it, because we all have our own work, and at the end of the day, no matter how much we like yours, we'll be more attached to ours.

For the minority of members who might... the Mods are excellent at finding plagiarizers, so they'd never be able to post any copycat pieces. This is a no-tolerance zone for plagiarism.

Also, when you go to post a story or poem, there's a box you can click so that it'll only be visible to registered members. You're protected from outsiders that way, too.

If you're really paranoid about it, you can always find people to PM your work to instead. That way, you know exactly who's reading it.

How do you Feature a work on your profile?

If you go to My YWS > My Profile Settings, you'll see three spaces for Featured Topics on your profile. Here, you need to put in the Topic ID of your chosen work. The Topic ID can be found at the top of the topic page - for example, the ID of this Questions page is 1057.

Thanks. One more question, how do you get a pic on the SB?

If you do a google image search or have a picture uploaded onto photobucket you should get a link of the picture. (If the latter is true, look for the 'direct link')

Paste the link in the text box and put around it.

So, if I wanted to post this picture of Mickey Mouse, I would have this link:

Just a note: it's probably a good idea to preview your post before sending it. That way, you can see how big the picture is. If it's excessively huge or stretches the page, it's a good to put into spoilers.
