KNOW YOUR CHARACTER. I cannot stress this enough. In any given situation, a good writer will step back and instead of asking, "What do I want my character to do next?", ask yourself, "What would this character do in this situation?"
Also, never assume you know everything about your character. Because there should always be room to grow on.
Please don't triple post. If you need to, edit your last post with the extra information you wanted to add in. Posting in succession is not the right sort of internet etiquette.
Also, where are the actual tips? Turning off the telly isn't a tip, per se, it's just getting rid of a distraction.
Maybe "Try to write where you can't be distracted" would be considered one, so you might want to think about that.

akdsjfh you know that feeling where you start writing a scene but then you get bored with the scene so you move on and start writing a different scene and then you get bored with that scene so you move on to an entirely different WIP and then you get bored with that so you move on- — AceassinOfTheMoon
