What's your idea?

I'll go change Sprout to Longbottom. I bet there's going to be some immature kids who start laughing (I would too, so I guess I'm not too mature XD) when he introduces himself.

I thought it would be cool to have a sort of Moody-Lupin hybrid teacher, without all the complicated backgrounds.

Is it ok if I join you guys? I totally understand if you don't want anymore people and since you have already started. I tried to PM the person who started it but it looks like they aren't online and I wanted to join in before you guys get too far past the point of adding on other people.

I would be fine with it, but you should probably check with @NympheaLily!

Do you want to help us come up with professors?

Well the Professor of the Dark Arts could be Amycus Carrow he was a Professor of the dark arts previously and like Snape was a death eater. His sister was previously the deputy headmistress and Prefessor of Muggle studies. Those even though were previously death eaters could return to their teaching positions at Hogwarts. Which then could be a really controversial decision made by Headmistress McGonagall.

I don't think Amycus would be kept. He was too sick in the heart and had an awful way of teaching, like his sister Alecto. I also do not think it is in McGonagall's character to keep death eaters up.

Unless she was attempting to do it in the image of Dumbledoor. He made Severus Snape a teacher and also there is the idea of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. What better way to watch them than to make them teachers where they have to bend to McGonagalls will.

:/

He made Severus Snape a teacher because Severus Snape was never a proper death eater after what happened to Lily. Snape was a spy.

If that's the case, why didn't he make Voldemort a teacher when he applied?

Right that's not what I meant. Sorry. I was just using Snape as an example for sake of to others on the outside of what's going on he didn't appear trustworthy to some.

Like with @Desdemona, I don't think McGonagall would keep him as a teacher if given a chance. I don't even think she would be given the chance. Considering Carrow's teaching methods, and the fact that he was a Death Eater, after trial he would be carted off to Azkaban if he wasn't killed in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Speaking of Defense Against the Dark Arts, I really like the idea you had, @Desdemona. Would he/she be a suitable Head of Gryffindor?

Alright! Now we just need a name for them, a Deputy Headmistress/master, and a Transfiguration Professor.
