I'm sorry to say that the new members are mostly spam accounts.

@Desdemona - actually, a lot of them are old accounts, or one time visitors. Or if people forget their username and the email address they use, they often make a new one.

If you see any spam works, please report them to any of us in green so we can take care of it. We've had a small spate of spambots recently. However, as a percentage of YWS' population, they make up a very small amount.
