I have shamelessly decided to procrastinate on writing a post for Gabriel because I have admin to do and rPMD needs the bump in activity more. XD

Sorry for being gone so long. Writers block has killed me for a while. But ai finally found a good direction to take the Sully Alek post, and I'm reborn.
Again, I apologize for my inactivity. My job is crushing the life out of me. -w-

↑ I'm assuming that was written on a mobile device, since I know the pain of pressing "a" instead of the uppercase arrow. XD

In fact, part of the reason I was gone for so long was my thinking "Oh gosh, it's been so long, and right after I said phase 2 was beginning. Maybe if I wait more, something will happen..."

Soup has a good point. What kind of a job do you have? I myself feel like abreal cheapskate, since, err... Well, keep in mind one rand is worth about a fifteenth of a dollar when I explain.

Okay, so my brother does first aid and gets paid fifteen rand an hour, but he had to pay about 550 rand in total to reach level three. He has to give up his entire Saturday morning if he wants to earn money, and part of his vacation as well.

I on the other hand am a maths tutor for the child of one of my mother's friends, and I get paid 250 rand a month for an hour lesson each Saturday, and if he misses lessons, I can give him at most one extra hour during the next lesson, otherwise it's their loss, since I get paid in cash at the start of the month. Also take note my tutee is in grade six, so it's only addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and basic geometry we need to discuss.

Compare the two, and you get my brother who needs to work his butt off treating injuries for sixteen hours over multiple blistering or rainy Saturdays to earn almost as much I do by teaching a stubborn child maths (a quarter of the time is spent getting him to cooperate) for one hour over four Saturdays within the comfort of my room. He also had to spend weeks learning first aid and must apply to work during the matches, while my mother's friend simply called her and asked if I would be willing to help at the same fee they payed the professional tutor.

To be fair, my tutee understands maths much better than he did before and I sometimes have to go Drill-Sergeant Nasty on him, but there is no way this is fair. I told him I guess that's how life worked and that I'm one lucky bastard. XD

(My mother wanted me to get another job, but after I heard that you get paid one rand an hourbfor stacking shelves in the supermarket and twelve rand an hour for waiting at a restaurant, I decided to decline and thank God for the blessing that came my way.)

Oof, rather you than me. I hated technology and economic management sciences - I couldn't wait to be rid of them. I'm not sure if you have all the same subjects, but I was never very good in geography or history either. Languages and the three sciences were more my thing. Oh, and music, of course. But ifbyou can tutor in all the subjects, that's fantastic! As long as the tutees understand the work better, everything is all right, eh?

well....they don't have those exact subjects. For example, one of them is sixteen and reads at a first grade level. I'm there to help them catch up. Most of them are really far behind in school because of certain addictions.

I work retail in a hardware store, dealing with some of the rudest people I've ever met. -w-
But I'm studying to be a nurse, which I've realized is my calling. Helping people is what I do best. ^w^

*Stares at conversation because he doesn't actually has a job yet and is currently looking for one elsewhere, as France tends to be quite unforgiving when it comes to give jobs to youngsters* ← As in, they don't accept young people because they don't have enough experience, and they don't accept experienced people because a lot of them don't have enough diplomas - WHICH OBVIOUSLY DETERMINES EVERYTHING.

As I'm lookin' for an actual job that gives money, I'm also keepin' up with my game design training, which include making reviews for the unnoticed entertainment badasses out there and helping a team make their game.
...While kind of uh, workin' on my own, smaller game project. While... y'know... writing.

But enough about me.

@Robusto Well that freakin' explains everything. And see, something SHOULD've happened had I caught up with my SBs - which include Twinkiel - but hey, at least Soup saved the day by posting himself. And wow, didn't know you were in a tutoring job, even though it's different from Astral's! I would probably scare some of my pupils away, so let's not do that, lol.
