i'm stuck between pirates and gypsies. not like the roma, like people in a different world who happen to wander. i don't have a plot for either, but i do have endings!

i hate my endings, everybody dies and they're all very similar.

ahem. there's some randomness for ya.

Claudette wrote:...Ocean currents? Weather patterns?....what are you writing!? I'm not putting that much into my first draft, I'm leaving out all the complications like time eras or years or events that would be taking place that I should probably add for realism.....

They'll be going to different lands that have different weather patterns. XD I might've gone overboard with the ocean currents, but ...

I'm writing fantasy! With a bad guy and good guys and stuff and junk like that. :) I'm not doing the resources, though. Like there's iron in this mine, or coal here or something. That's -too- much!
Write from the heart and nothing can go wrong. It's when you write from the wallet that the feeling goes away.

so there is a limit then? No resources! Gotcha! :-)

Mines a vampire story with a kick *I hope* [s]I'm still working out all the kinks in the plot and ending.[/s] I'm being real lazy and procrastinating on thinking about my plot like I usually do.

Actually, no, not completely true! I want a new name for my main character, I just can't decide.

What kind of tips, you say?

Ummm...how to win it? XD

But you've just answered that one, haven't you?

But of course...no writing until Wednesday...there's still time! Really!

((Too bad all these points will die at the end of the week. Do you know when the end of this week actually is? And I know! But I'll win, of course. ;) ))

(you shan't win! I will *wrestles*)

Yeah. I'm nervous I don't have enough plotted out.

Like I'm real scared about the ending. What if i get to the point where I have no more and it just...stops?

Word wars are your FRIENDS.

Basically, there's a thread in the forums (usually in "Reaching 50,000") in November where people get together at a certain time and write for half an hour and then post their word counts.

It forces you to just sit and write for half an hour. And then if you do it again and again and again...

Seriously, if not for them, I would not have made it through last year's Nanowrimo.
"He yanked himself free and fled to the kitchen where something huddled against the flooded windowpanes. It sighed and wept and tapped continually, and suddenly he was outside, staring in, the rain beating, the wind chilling him, and all the candle darkness inside lost."
