Star Wars: Rise of the Legion DT

@LordZeus, hi again ... I'm having a little trouble rewriting Ilyana's backstory. Some things aren't fitting right for me.

Ilyana doesn't strike me as someone who'd have so much romance in her life, first Erik's dad and then Cap. Fidsmor. Being a zealous Sith, she's conditioned to not form any attachments with others - I intended for meeting Grin to change her outlook.

When there's time, could you, @SkyeWalker, and I try to come up with a compromise that retains a lot of what you've thought up together?

This is just a random thought: If they're siblings, do you think Skye Merem would've been there at the time of Erik's abandonment?

Hi! So sorry I didn't respond yesterday - I had some computer troubles....

So ... I was thinking we could try to flesh out Ilyana's unnamed sister's character, and their relationship in hopes of making an equally tragic backstory for everyone involved. I love the idea of making Ro, Ilyana, Erik, and Skye close family - I'm just not sure Ilyana is the type of person to be in so many relationships.

If we went with Erik being Ilyana's nephew, I thought of an idea late last night for his mom's backstory. Let's call her Sonya for now. Perhaps Sonya and Ilyana were both taken by the Legion as children, but for some reason, Sonya wasn't thriving. I get the feeling that the Sith don't simply send unsuccessful students home. Too much paperwork, y'know?

Although Ilyana is quite devoted to the Legion, she also loves her sister. To save Sonya's life, what if she helped Sonya to escape? (This parallels Grin's abduction of Ro if you fast-forward several years.) Then, Sonya grows up, finds her way to Haruun Kal (the Koruni planet), meets a widower with a young, daughter, and "boom, Erik"?

They fall out of contact, for Sonya's safety. Fast forward several years, and Ilyana is sent with a posse of Sith to Haruun Kal to capture more Force-adept younglings....

What do you think? If it doesn't work, I'm open to discussing other ideas!

Okaaay, @Walkerforest1066! I've posted! I'm peaving this open for you, but to progress the plot a little more, maybe you could do a "1 week later" or however much time we missed while I tried to type out this post.

Also, so sorry for the double post, but is there going to be a limit on the number of characters we have? Because there are a whole lot right now. XD

@Caterpickle Would it be alright with you if I tied Lamar into the next post with Zarash in it? I was thinking that maybe he was notified of Lamar's outburst and the trouble he is now in seeing as how Zarash was probably Lamar's ligthsaber combat instructor. (If you'd rather that it be Mourdica who acts as his sole trainer as well as master, I completely understand )

Maybe my character can get back into the swing of everything soon XD Maybe she can run into the rest of everyone sometime during my next post or so, and I can actually force myself to write out some ACTION! XD

And I'm also looking forward to Skye's meeting Erik again, and meeting everyone else on the Jade Star, somehow I have a feeling that Dayome and Skye MAY clash a LITTLE BIT. XD That'll be interesting!

Sorry @SkyeWalker I only realized that Zarash was meant to walk back out into the crowd after I had written the bit about the ship and I figured I would just leave it and go ahead and knock out the potential issue of finding a way off-world, I hope it didn't throw too much of a wrench into your plans (

@Caterpickle I hope that bit about Lamar was acceptable, I wasn't really quite sure how to word how Zarash would feel about the youngling starting to give in to the Darkness, while also preserving his own doubt regarding the dark side, etc, etc.

@HazelGrace16 I dunno if this will go anywhere, but I was reading through the profiles again and just felt like I should try to include Talia into the latest one with the small hand retreating into the air vent... Not sure if that's alright with you or not, but if it isn't then the open-endedness will allow for the spy to have been anyone, just figured I'd open up another possibility. Maybe Talia heard and recorded the whole thing, so that she knows Zarash is planning on leaving the Sith, or maybe she only heard the bit where he was still channeling his inner dark lord. I'll leave that up to you whether or not to take that anywhere, just figured I'd open another avenue of story progression )

In regards to the planet thingy, I'm not really sure...I don't really know a lot about the planets used in Star Wars, so I don't know...sowwy
