I agree with @Noelle that we don't necessarily need to figure out everyones schedules. As long as we have a general idea of what classes their in with the other characters, that'll probably be good.

And that's fine. It would probably be helpful to have page of compiled info. Actually, I've kind of been working on something similar that I was considering posting as a PDF, but it would probably be good to have something everyone can add to and that's easy to make edits to.

OK, so I go to school in India, so our classes and schedules are totally different from yours. Also, how do I know which classes Dan is taking with other people? All I know now is that he's taking Biology with the group and Spanish with Mike. Could someone help please?

I wouldn't worry about school schedules, guys. We might have like one post where we'll mention the normal school day, but really, it's not a big deal! Science class is all that you should worry about, and it's the last class of the day. Boom. Enough info right there.

Okay....so we can just say 'Then I went to calculus. It was boring, but Neon's jokes lightened it up ansd made me laugh. Then it ended, and I went to History.' Like that? Also I have one suggestion. While we can make science the last class of the day, I suggest making the field trip the next day, so we can say their usual daily schedules. Also, I doubt that they would start a field trip in the afternoon when school ends, so I feel it would make more sense.

Yeah I want to spend the first day getting to know relationships and seeing them in action. That way it's not only fellow students but families as well. It would be nice to see everyone before the dramatic change

... Yeah, I'm homeschooled too. I have no idea what "actual" schools are like at all, so bleeeeh.

Charlotte has noticed that many of her classmates aren't a fan of Mike's argumentative nature. He's brash and egotistic, but gosh darn it, Charlotte can't help but blush when he sweetly opens the door for her or when he defends her opinions with his own authoritative voice. He's just so gentlemanly! One time the power went out in the science classroom during a thunderstorm and Mike huddled next to her, whispering encouraging words. She'd like to be with someone courageous who can be the "extrovert" for her, anyway, even though Mike's love for arguing is nothing short of tedious.

@HazelGrace16 ~ Emma
Charlotte knows Emma through Gwen, but they aren't terribly close. When she heard that Oliver likes her, she rather timidly performed a "mental evaluation" of her, making conversation with her, understanding her personality, and getting a gauge on her academic prowess. Check, check, check; Oliver approved.

@Sunshine1113 ~ Gwen
They've known each other for a few years, since before Gwen's mother died. Charlotte stuck by Gwen to give her extra support for a while. They still hang out together from time to time, but not as much as usual. Charlotte still senses the sweetness and sensitiveness in Gwen, and wants her to know that she's always there if she needs a friend. And always there to joke about Gwen's phobia of canines, something Charlotte miraculously doesn't share and finds amusing. It's nice to know someone else who's scared of something.

@Chaser ~ Neon
The cutest guy in the class, by far. (Dark hair and blue eyes? Best combo ever!) But personality-wise, he seems a bit out of reach to her. He hasn't payed much attention to her, anyway.

@Blaspherica ~ Hannah
Charlotte sees Hannah as rather selfish and a tad self-adoringly confident, but she's amusing to be with and a good student. She's not Charlotte's idea of the ideal friend, but she's excellent in group projects and academics.

@LordZeus ~ Daniel
Charlotte has a lot of respect for Daniel. For being her same age, he's so smart! (She also tends to exclusively call him "Daniel" and not "Dan" for whatever reason.) Their shared interest in zoology has brought them much closer together.

@Noelle ~ Ryker
Ryker seems like a pretty cool guy. He tends to excel in every group project, making sure everyone is doing their part and contributing excellently for the good of the team. Science is the first and only class Charlotte has shared with him, so she really doesn't know much else about him. Sometimes she can read in his eyes that some things aren't quite peaceful in his life, and she has felt the urge to reach out to him.

@Nightcrawler ~ Jinx
Tall. Very, very tall. With those piercing eyes, Jinx was certainly an intimidating figure at first. At first - that's the key word. On the very first day of school, Mr. Neil had the two of them sitting together as partners. Charlotte remembered exchanging glances with Oliver, who she knew could read her mind. Tall guy. Scary guy. But she was a little ashamed of herself when they started talking with each other and she saw his genuinely kind nature peeking through.

@Hattable ~ Oliver
Oliver's a super sweet guy, and over the years they've grown to know each other very well. Did she have a crush on him once? Yeah, the first year they met. He was this very tall guy (compared to Charlotte, at least) who had kind green eyes and a shared hatred of bananas. But the crush has long since passed, and they're simply close classmates. Anyway, he likes Emma now. She thinks they'd be a cute match. But in essence, Charlotte enjoys spending time with him in class, hearing him talk about his astronomical discoveries and sharing his peanut butter cookies with him.

@LeftyWriter ~ Layla
Charlotte and Layla seemed to have a lot in common, particularly the introverty-ness, so naturally one day Charlotte wandered over and asked Layla where on earth she got that dinosaur eraser. ("A question is a good way to start a conversation" should be Charlotte's motto.) Soon after, they became fast friends. Charlotte highly admires Layla's drawing skills (and might be a tad jealous), and is forever grateful that now, thanks to Layla, she knows how to draw a suitable tree and a dog face. She thinks Layla should give professional drawing lessons.

@TheFantasy14 ~ Riley
Riley's confidence is admirable, but a bit too much for Charlotte. If anything, Riley annoys her. They don't have much to talk about if they did talk, anyway - Charlotte doesn't sing (the shower doesn't count) or play a musical instrument, and fame is among the last things on her mind. But Charlotte knows that Riley's probably a very nice girl once you get to know her, and is willing to give her another chance.

Wow we finally have a 2 way crush. Charlotte and Mike are one set up couple. That's a first in this Animorpher soap opera

@LordZeus If we're mentioning other classes it'll end up like that, yes. Or just mention having to go to a class or saying it was boring. The thing is we're not going to be posting about our entire day. We'll just be focusing on the parts that closely follow the plot -- morphing into animals, figuring out what happened/what's happening. All that good stuff.

@Hattable, @allthosewhoarehomeschooled You are not missing out on one thing. All you do is go to class and pretend you're listening, then go to the next class and pretend you're listening in that one. Fun times.

OK but can we have at least a fixed number of daily periods? I think 4 periods a day will minimize confusion, and lets have not more than say 6 subjects per student to avoid complication.

This roster has been far easier and much more enjoyable to create, but I am glad it is finished. You can see that certain subjects will be taught only on certain dates; this is because many more subjects are mandatory, but space for the electives are also required.

The mandatory subjects are: Transfiguration, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, History of Magic and Astronomy. The electives, of which you must take at least two, are: Divination, Non-Magical Combat, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies. It may happen that you have a few free periods, so be sure to use them exclusively for educational purposes! (Yeah, right... )

I can work with any number of periods and school days, having experienced most of them during my school career. If you really don't want a roster, that's fine, but I do crazy things during my free time, so if you do, feel free to poke me.

On a different note, I've noticed nobody has discussed what will happen after the field trip. Will your characters still go to school, even after things have settled down? And what of those who hunt them? Will they eventually force them to leave school if they are to survive?

PS: I'd be happy to create a diagram for character relations (or two, if you want romance and friendship separated).

Of course, I'd be happy simply to stalk the SB if one of you would like to do this instead...

Ah, @AstralHunter's famous Hogwart schedules... I think we'd love it if you volunteered to help us, but I don't want you to spend so much time on something will use sparingly, in my opinion: a class schedule. Perhaps all characters can come up with six classes or so themselves, if they'd like, and simply stick them in order.

A character relationships diagram, though? Now, that sounds helpful!

Is school even the main setting of this SB, anyway? What will happen after the field trip?

I know Emma will defiantly be a type to want to go back to normal. I think it just depends on your situation. It will bring some good conflict into the story.

These are the classes Dan will be taking. Could you make it that he shares latin with Mike and english with Emma ( @HazelGrace16 you said to tell you) and some other classes with other people, or even more than one class with the people I just mentioned.. That would be great. Thanks in advance.

Also, does anyone mind if I post some history in the world history class in my first post? I mean, I was thinking about what would happen to make Japan a super power like USA and though that if maybe USA and China had a second cold war, japan could rise up. Or we could have had a third world war or something. Maybe we could mention something like that in world history. Or does anybody have any other idea? Also, what do they do in english advanced classes in american schools? It may not be different from classes here, but I wanna be sure.
