Actually, I'm taking off caps now. Wowee. Um. A talk about writing action and battle sequences:
1. Dialogue is not timeline-friendly. If you stop your slaughter to talk through a ten-stage plan a la Fallyn, you're going to get ganked good.
2. While the devil is in the details, remember that the longer your sentences are, the slower the battle moves. If you want some examples of how I've trained other folks in writing action sequences, go check out The Broken Seal and watch the evolution of our fight scenes. I think the last one we did--which was me writing for an alchemist--lasted about three paragraphs, though it had dialogue in it as needed because it was primarily a lore post. We had an entire chapter based around a raid concept I had in my head, and the fight scenes there are god-tier.
Suffice it to say that you guys are going to experience a similar gauntlet.

It would appear that way, @Poopsie. (Almost wrote @Verser.) But yes, if the characters got tired of Fallyn's long strategies, just wing it. To be honest, not even I play like that. Have them complain and then insist on improvising - tactics are just as important as strategy.
