@Poopsie More than read a lot about it, I've personally LIVED through racism and have a Mom that suffered from it even more considering it was worse whenever she traveled round the world. We're both still affected by it today, and we both tend to pay attention to the little stereotypes that remind us of it. Certain stares, words, sentences, etc. A lot of hints, really.
So, with that in mind, if I of all people tell you that I'm not bothered by the stereotypical way Cassandra may sound, then trust me, neither should you. Accents are also tools used by writers to show off certain things that aren't always negative. Dark humor, difference in cultures, and even personality sometimes.
