What is a Review Day?
On the last Sunday of every month, we review as many works as possible with the aim of completely clearing out the Green Room! We also have a goal each month, and this month's goal is 650 reviews. Last but not least, during a Review Day, no new works can be added.
But wait, there's more! Review Teams!
In addition, you can optionally choose to participate on a team. There's two of them, and you sign up by clicking the red "Join a review team" button on the front page. The teams compete based on how many collective points they earn. This means that the winning team is not necessarily the team with the most reviews! Team sign-up will begin approximately 72 hours prior to the start of the Review Day.
The Theme: Avatar
Every so often, we do a theme for Review Day. This month, we're going with an Avatar theme (the cartoon one, not the one that's Ferngully with smurfs). That means there'll be four Review Teams: Fire Nation, Water Tribe, Air Nomads, and Earth Kingdom. Participants of each team will be able to pick a name and image to go along with the theme (e.g., Fire Ferrets for Fire Nation).
If you've never watched Avatar before or don't care for it, not to worry! This is just a basic theme; Review Day is always Review Day. This is just something extra for fun.
Quality > Quantity
Always remember, it's better to write one good review than to write 4 quick reviews. Not only will you earn more points, but you'll be more helpful as well!
Free Literary Work Day
The Green Room is already fairly full, but in order to increase interest and reviews, there will be a Free Literary Work Day for the 24 hours prior to the start of the Review Day. That means the cost to post a work will temporarily drop to 0! However, be economical about what you post: you can post a maximum of just two works.
There's a catch too. If you post a work for free, then you must review something on Review Day!
