CONGRATULATIONS. You've received your letter to Hogwarts! You are now on the Hogwarts Express and are headed towards the gloomy, ominous castle that grows closer and closer by the second.

INTENSE TRAIN SOUNDS

You're here! As per tradition, Hagrid is there and he welcomes you with a big smile swallowed by a jungle of hair. Quickly, you're ushered into boats (four per, please) and are magically rowed across the lake, then forced into the entrance to the Grand Hall, where you are greeted by Professor McGonagall. She gives you all a stern look and introduces the four Houses to you, those of which you will be placed in in the Sorting.

Gryffindor, founded by Godric Gryffindor - the house of the courageous and the brave.

Hufflepuff, founded by Helga Hufflepuff - the house of the loyal, patient, and hard-working.

Ravenclaw, founded by Rowena Ravenclaw - the house of the intelligent.

Slytherin, founded by Salazar Slytherin - the house of the pureblooded.

Each House has its own qualities, both good and bad, and she encourages you to think long and hard about your choice, for if you convince the Sorting Hat, it might be swayed to your decision.

Finally, the time comes, and you are all ushered into the Great Hall. Many come and go; students are sorted and tables are screaming with the joy of a thousand happy House members as their ranks grow.

Time passes.

Then it's your turn. You step up to the stool. The Hat looms above your head, slowly lowering. It's time for you to choose, or let the Hat choose for you.

What House do you belong in?

I took this quiz because I am perfectly content to let the hat sort me: http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Reviews/ ... House.html

It sorted me into Hufflepuff. This is probably a good thing, because all the other houses, especially Gryffindor and Slytherin, have way too much drama going on.

My quiz results were these:
Hufflepuff - 15
Gryffindor - 13
Ravenclaw - 12
Slytherin - 6

I was sorted into Hufflepuff on Pottermore. So, I already knew my house. :)

You say that Slytherin is the house of the pureblooded. So how could any of us muggles be sorted into it? I feel like a reformation should be made to the definition, as it is the house of ambition and cunning more than purebloods.

As a proud Slytherin, I resent the comment that it is only for purebloods.

I'm in Gryffindor on the three Pottermore accounts I have—don't ask me why I have three of those XD—but somehow I think I'd fit better into either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

SLYTHERIN!
Honestly, I would probably get sorted to Hufflepuff because I'm a big softy :3
But I would ask the sorting hat to put me in Slytherin because....I don't know why, I just like Slytherin best. And I love snakes :3

Slytherin all the way.

Well... Pottermore told me I was Slytherin (though that was years ago, it could've changed :o) so I'm going with Slytherin!

Pottermore put me in Ravenclaw, as has literally every other house test I've taken. I like that. I think Ravenclaw common room is most likely to host a book club XD I also have a Ravenclaw scarf that I wear to school every day and one day my computing teacher gave me a death stare because he has a Gryffindor scarf hanging on his wall :P

Hufflepuff - 16
Ravenclaw - 13
Gryffindor - 9
Slytherin - 6

So. I'm apparently loyal, patient, and hard-working. I'd say that's pretty accurate.

Excuse me, could someone please direct me to the "I have never read or seen Harry Potter and never intend to" option? I'd appreciate it.

We don't have that option because we don't support insanity. >_>
