Do you have a smartphone?

Even I have finally entered the smartphone (or as I call them, 'touchscreen phone') age - definitely the last of my group of friends to do so. In fact I think I'm a few years behind...

What about you? Are you addicted to your phone's internet and apps or are you quite happy to just be able to text and call - or perhaps use nice, traditional messages in a bottle?

I have a smartphone, but I only use it to text and call (and play 2048 when I am waiting in line for something). Some might say it's a waste, but when I do need to use the internet, I have a device available.

Where's the "no, and I don't really want one" category?

Touchscreen phones are crazy little gizmos. If you hold them too close to your head then you hang up on people with your ears.

I have a Windows Phone. It sucks butt! I want to go back to Android.

I finally (after a long time!) gave in and got one for my birthday. Before that I had a flip phone--my dad's. I borrowed it when I needed it.

I have a phone (of the unintelligent variety... not smart at all), a laptop, and a GPS so can't convince my mom why I would actually need one. But I'm 18 and my mom still pays my phone bill so I'm not going to complain too much. So, I think I am also in the "no, and I don't want one" category.

I would have to say that I really don't need or want a smartphone.... Besides, is there really such a thing as "smartphones" and "dumb phones" ?

Nexus! Having a smartphone is invaluable for travelling -- there are maps, it's a compass, skype, whatsapp -- it's invaluable for knowing where you're going and keeping in touch with everyone.
