August Review Day

Event Start Time: 8/31/2014 00:00 GMT*
* Automatically adjusted to your local time

What is Review Day?
On the last Sunday of every month, we review as many works as possible with the aim of completely clearing out the Green Room! We also have a goal each month, and this month's goal is 550 reviews.

But wait, there's more! Review Teams!
In addition, you can optionally choose to participate on a team. There's two of them, and you sign up by clicking the red "Join a review team" button on the front page. The teams compete based on how many collective points they earn. This means that the winning team is not necessarily the team with the most reviews!

Quality > Quantity
Always remember, it's better to write one good review than to write 4 quick reviews. Not only will you earn more points, but you'll be more helpful as well!

Heads up, but generally there has been a free work day as well prior to the review day starting. However, as there's already so many works in the Green Room, that won't be happening this month.

@Nate, just so you know. I'm not seeing the join-a-review-team button yet. Wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten to add it. Also, do I have to go to a team and manually sign up if I can't see the button?

Yeah, it is. I was wondering why I couldn't see it for a bit and thought I'd let you know, just in case.

I'm on Team Black and so excited for Review Day! Whoo!

I know that the reviews have to be in the green room, I'm assuming...but if we write reviews before 8 and just don't send them and then we post them up at 8 but the works aren't in the green room, do those points still count?

@anonymousx That's been talked about before, and I'm pretty sure we determined that was cheating. Also, they don't HAVE to be in the green room, but that is one of the goal's of review day: clear the green room. You just get more points if you review in the green room, so it is highly recommended ^^
But I think if you write the review before review day and then submit it once review day starts, that's cheating. But I'm not 100% sure

@Thewriter13 Ok! I was just asking, a few people mentioned it so I wasn't sure.

@anonymousx What writer13 said was true, it is cheating to write the reviews before the review day, but it's fine to start multiple reviews on review day and write them all at once. Sometimes it's hard to stay focused. Do realize though that if you finish them all at the same time and try to submit them too close to each other, they will be automatically marked as spam, even though they aren't.

This is for always, not just review day:
And if someone "saves" a green room work from the greenroom after you've started your review and before you finish it, you still get the points as if you were the first or second review. ^_^

(and yes, review day reviews don't have to be in the green room, but it's always the knights of the green room's goal)
