Serena's life is turned upside down after her mom dies from cancer. She feels heartbroken and doesn’t know how to cope. To try to heal, Serena has to move away from her home in Toronto and live with her Aunt May and her cousin, Skylar in a place called Willow Creek. It’s a small town that’s very different from the busy city Serena knew. As she struggles with her grief, she’s also trying to figure out how to adjust to her new life without her mom. Serena feels like everything is changing, and she doesn’t know if she’s ready for it.
