Thanks! c:

I've read some of Neil Gaiman's works (Smoke & Mirrors, Anansi Boys, Good Omens, and Interworld) and I'm hoping to read more in the future. I haven't read The Name of the Wind, or any books by Terry Brooks, but I'll be sure to check them out. :D

Oooh, science fiction? :D

Well... I kind of love the dystopian fiction. I mean, yeah, they don't have anything to do with science fiction, really, but they have so much political intrigue and such that it's amazing!

Okay... a short list! And just a quick note: I suck at summaries. But all these books are really good!

Ender's Game <-- This is a book about war games in space, and it's soooo cool. A bunch of little kids are trained to be military tacticians. Life is good.

The Giver <-- This book is a dystopian novel set in a "perfect" world where choices are unneeded, pain is gone, and life is preplanned. However, when a boy, Jonas, is asked to carry all the memories of the world before, things get a bit interesting...

Farmer in the Sky <-- This book is so neat! It's about a bunch of farmers who raise a civilization on Ganymede.

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress <-- How a bunch of "lunies" (they're a prison colony on the moon, similar to Australia back in the day) stop the persecution of their peoples by throwing rocks at them.

1984 <-- Political intrigue yumminess! Another dystopian world with a not-so-perfect world run by Big Brother and the Thought Police.

Nightfall, and other short stories <-- I love Isaac Asimov's short stories! Anyway, there are a bunch of quirky things written by a real scientist! :D

Slaughterhouse 5 <-- This will make you do the Time Warp... literally! Based off of a real experience of the Dresden Fire Bombings.

Fahrenheit 451 <-- In the future, fireman start fires... on books. Political intrigue!

Um... that's a good start. >.>

But yep! Awesome stuff here! :D

Thanks! Out of all of those, I've only read 1984, which I really enjoyed (I love George Orwell. We're going to read Animal Farm for school which makes me happy.), but I've heard of some of the others before. I'll be sure to check them out, they all look really cool and interesting. :D

Peter Pan!

Oh my goodness. As soon as I saw this title, I had to come and respond. Some of my favorite things in the world are related to Peter Pan.

Anyway, welcome to YWS! I'm Rach, the frog's Ribbit...and if you have any questions, just let me know!

Yeah, the title is sort of related to Peter Pan, but I'm also referencing another work. xD *cookies*

Hey, Rach (and Ribbit). I've got a monkey in my head that barely talks, but he's got good ideas when I'm not ignoring him. :D

No one's been able to guess, but the work I was referencing in my title is a HP fanfic called The Shoebox Project, which is one of my favorites. xD
