So, I've put up the original of this photo before a while ago. I tried editing it, so please give me some advice, tips and any other help you can give. Thankyou!

Someone told me there's a girl out there, with love in her eyes and flowers, in her hair.
So I really like the colors in this. It looks like a painting. The green makes it look eerie, and I love the contrast. However, I would move the lamp post over to the left just a tiny bit and get rid of the pole behind it; the latter draws the eye away from the main focus: the lamp post. Also, it makes the photo look a tad cluttered. Other than that, this is a really great photograph. I'd like to see more.

Hi, Between(: This is a really pretty picture. I think the colors are strange and I think that might be a good thing, it makes it different. The only thing, and I don't know if it's because of the editing or the actual picture but at the top of the power pole it seems like the wires disappear. They come out of the top then are gone and it's strange since you can see them where they meant the pole. I don't know if there's any way to fix that but just watch out when you shoot stuff that can disappear like that Other than that it's a good shot. Sorry I'm not really a photographer but if you need anything else just send me a message and I'll be glad to help. ~peanut~

Hey! Well photography is something I'm really into, and editing wise, I've learnt a lot in the past while. I always do as little editing with photos as possible, and this one, I just don't like it. The bit of bush at the bottom of the lamp really needs cropped out; make sure to keep the the aspect ratio. Secondly, I really don't like the green and orange mix :S It seems a little too strange. The orange has a nice tone, but the green ruins it for me. Although, not a bad attempt at editing for the first time. I had a look at the original, and I really like it. I think if you made the original B&W, upped the contrast, just played around with it, and added some post crop vignetting, it could look pretty professional.
You have an excellent eye for a photo, so for that, I congratulate you! I would suggest downloading Adobe Lightroom 3.2. It's a really good, professional photo editing program, which is what a lot of professionals use, myself included. It's fairly easy to use, and I think you have a 30 day trial period before you need to purchase it (trust me, it's worth the money!)
I'm sorry if my review was harsh, I look forward to seeing more from you!
So, there are some goods and some bads to this picture.
Right away when you look at this, it does seem very impressive and almost painted. But for me, it seems like the more I look at it, the worse the quality seems. That, of course, could be due to the size of this. And there is an issue with where everything is situated. The lamppost feels too far to the right and having the added things like the tree top and the wires seem to stand out very awkwardly.
Still, I do really like the colors here and, again, the painted feel. It is very interesting to look at.
Any questions, feel free to PM me or leave a wall post.

I actually really like this. I do picnik too and enjoy it as well. Though I'm not much of a photographer, I really wanted to comment. The color is fantastic, I think. Try having more fun with the effects. Perhaps experiment a little more--don't be afraid to mess up because as long as you save, you can always start over (I have to keep reminding myself to save the original picture). But I really like it. Keep...I usually say keep writing, but...uhm...Keep photographing! that doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

Very cool pic here! The colors are vivid, and cool to look at. I'm not a professional photo analyst, but I can give you some general comments as a spectator. XD The sky is just creepy, kind of, in a mysterious way. Perfect for a story idea. I like the old lamppost as the main object. Sort of reminds me of like traveling back in time? I don't know why, lol. The only thing I didn't like were the extra objects in the photo. They took attention away from the main object, the lamppost. They are also unnecessary. I'm talking about the tree and wires. Every photo has a flaw, so it's okay, but watch out for unnecessary objects in the future. And that's all! Good job!

Now I'm no photographer, so I don't the lingo or what people are looking at to analyse photos so I'll just give my honest opinion . I actually find the picture quite calming. The colour is beautiful and it looks as if it were a cover for a novel or something to do with literature. ...so, how was that? Keep taking pictures, you are good.

Hey! I haven't done a lot of photography, but I like this. I like the contrast of the colors, especially the green on orange. I also think you should get rid of the pole in the back. I think it would look better with just the lamp post. Great job!
For a first edit that is pretty nice. The color is pretty but kinda... makes my eyes hurt.. I have no clue why. Probably just me. But oh well. Very nice. I really wouln't have any tips because I don't do photos. I only crop stuff. ~Ladypurple
You're new? Great seas! Why haven't you gone to the Buddy System yet?
I'd really like this picture if the sky was softer colors, they're too intense and harsh that it kinda detracts from the composition and basic beauty of the silhouette you've got there. Try it in warmer oranges and some reds rather than the harsh ones and the greens.
Nice-- like everyone says, it looks painted( which is good).
Have you heard of Gimp 2.6? It's up for a free download and you can do a whole lot of junk on there. I know is a digital edit, but maybe you could zoom in a little more, just so we can know what the focus is. For a first edit, this is REALLY good. I can't stress to you what a good job you did, but try making a whole bunch of the same photo. Experiment a little. Like - - Add a sepia tone to the image - Add fabric texture - ALWAYS post the original( this way we can see how your creativity changed it). - Try not to mix colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel. I just feels...weird.
Other than those key points, good job! Hope this Helps! -Jojo
I really like the colors it gives it a mysterious look and sets it out from the usual. Also, it is a great picture by itself. good view and nice angle. Hmmmm....what else? Nice colors, nice angles, nice oh! I like the main ugh I forget what its called but I like the center peice of the picture. Its nice..in case you haven't noticed I'm not good at reviewing art...sorry PM me with what photographers want edited on please... Jenn <3
when you grow up you realize that Prince Charming is not as easy to find as you thought. You realize the bad guy is not wearing a black cape and he's not easy to spot; he's really funny, and he makes you laugh, and he has perfect hair and isnt wearing a black cape and easy to spot Lots of Love Jenn
