I am in the middle of writing a dark fantasy book, one of the many reasons it will NOT be posted on YWS at ALL (not in part or entirety). This is the reason I am a stowaway. I'll be posting my goals I'm trying to meet for the week, and I'll be posting whether I meet it, but none of what I actually write will be on YWS. Purely participating to motivate myself to finish this dang thing!

This would be a really boring thread to subscribe to, so I don't exactly recommend it XD I'll purposely be keeping info pretty vague. I'm hoping to get this published and make some extra moneyyyyy but it is NOT something I want people on here thinking of when they think of me, haha. Good luck to all the pilots and navigators!!!

Weekly Goals:

>If I were being extremely optimistic, I technically have to finish roughly 2 1/2 chapters per week if I want to finish before I move for grad school.
>If I'm being reasonable, I'll be aiming for 1k words a week. Anything above that would be phenomenal, but I cannot let myself burn out.

Overall Goals:

>Finish the book. This is first priority, obviously. I've got a complete outline, so as long as I keep chipping away at it, I should succeed!
>While writing, edit. This will be based on feedback from beta readers who read chapters as I finish them. I love my friends!
>Submit, submit, submit. This is the final step of the journey. We'll see if it succeeds, but the ultimate goal is to get some dark romantasy published and (fingers crossed!) make a little extra income!

Spoiler
Well, I meant to write way more last week. I was not anticipating Monday being the only day I wrote on this! But I fell sick, had one of my worst days in years, and had to recover from two said things. XD Here's hoping to more writing this week :]

For anyone who may have seen my wall, I had a surprise surgery that has completely knocked the wind out of me. If I had known ahead of time, I probably would've tried to write ahead, but since I didn't, I think this is the end of the road for me this time :/ was hoping for a shiny badge but no such luck. Good luck to everyone else :]

LMS has always been a competition that tries to take real-world stuff into account, and I think if anything qualifies for an exception, it's a medical issue :') As a competition runner, I would say you get a pass for this week, especially since you're a Stowaway! Hope you recover fully soon <3

=D

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
