The sun is bright today.

Once in a while, I will look straight at the sun. Only long enough to see if the heaven-bird is nesting there. Only long enough to pray. Only long enough to see if I remember how to blink. Only not for any time at all. Sometimes I see her, the moment I turn my head and avert my gaze. All those wings and humming feathers shining, reaching, folding, stretching, flying-right-into-my-eyes. But then when I turn again, she is not there. Only she always is. Only I can not see her straight on.
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

Clear skies, specifically when you're unprepared for them.

The air feels thick and heavy, as if the heat is being filtered through a colander. Red and orange shards of light shine through the windshield, below the visor, just enough to graze me. I am a canvas for the sun.
No matter how much time passes, no matter what takes place in the interim, there are some things we can never assign to oblivion, memories we can never rub away.
-- Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore

So hot the sky is sweating clouds, pools of clouds, and those pools of vapour are themselves evaporating.

Ironically sunny. Make sure to wear both sunscreen and a puffy jacket.

Chilly in the morning, hellishly hot in the evening, cold after sunset. Carry a jacket, but also wear sleeveless.

Cold, but not as much as it should be. Sunny, but not warm enough.

i do not dare to look the sun in the eyes; she does not yield to me, or anyone.

'Tis the season to shovel enormous amounts of watermelon into your mouth while hunched over the cutting board like a dehydrated vampire that hasn't fed on blood in four hundred years and the only viable substitute is this questionable Christmas-colored fruit.
