Wooo! You had a great writing session! Keep at it.

Day five, six, seven did not write anything at all (that’s a lie, i did work on smt else but that’s besides the point) because of JLPT …. it’s finally over tho so.. yay?
worked alot on the cover art for my camp nano work (and also maybe submit to contest) here’s a quick peak: i might need to work on it wayyyy more bc i thought sunset would look better so now i have to change the color of the entire image (i hate my brain, it keeps creating new ideas, making me actually work. How DARE you)… shall be fun.. right? but now, since Im finally free on tests and exams, i have actual time for writing (yayy)
Goal Achieved So Far: 400/10,000 + 40%(?) completion on cover art
Oooh I love the art so far the water is SO pretty!!! Yay for tests and exams being done, and good luck with your writing!!

I finally started some progress on the story! (yey) I also completed the cover art (kinda rushed, but it's good ig) I feel that carpel tunnel looming ever so closer haha... Anyways, idk what to really write, uh, check out the Camp NaNo Cover Contest I guess? idk, hope y'all also upload your cover art since it's fun to see so many other people's creative works!
Goal Achieved So Far: 1060/10,000 + finished cover art

A quick thing about safety: posting a link to your google doc could potentially be dangerous if people can view the creator (you) especially if it has your real name associated with it. I can't remember the rules exactly with this, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm not saying you're in trouble in any way! I'm trying to warn you just in case you didn't want that information available to technically all of the internet.

Did I make progress? Uhhhh i may have ruined half my progress again lmao. But, because of how much I rewrite stories, I realized that I’ll never achieve my goal or have fun. So, instead, Im gonna put all my scrapped ideas into a seperate place where they can be cute little non-canon events. They technically Happened, but not in the final canon universe of the story.
Also, I realized that I counted stuff wrong(..?) so even though I havent had much progress done, I realize my word progress still increased a substantial amount lol. (Around 400)
Goal Achieved So Far: 1968/10,000 Bro, how did I miscount this much lmaooo Also, I might work on that fanfic soon. Im thinkin of either a Techno fic (action based prob) or one of the jenshin anemo bois. Do feel free to give suggetions for what character if you want the
So, I haven’t really done anything for a while lmao. However, I learned how to program in a modified version of Python. So, I wrote 280 or so lines which total well over a 100 words.
come to my wall @ToastK if you wanna know what ive been up to, but as of now, I think I’ll need to change my plans bc it’s been so hectic rn.
However, please remember that I will never stop writing as I love it, and this community has rekindled that love.
Goal Achieved So Far: Created a writing system for a fictional world, Made cover art for my story(potentially the best yet), made over 300 total lines of code for a visual novel game with 0 knowledge on how coding works Now that I’ve actually been active and participating here in YWS and CampNaNo (although not as active as wanted), I realized that this community truly is “fun first” and i really appreciate that.
Woah! Coding is hard, man! But I am happy to hear it. I am also happy to know we are more "fun first" as a community. I've always tried to be relaxed with my writing habits (trying to avoid burnout lol) and it really is a blessing that a place like this supports things like that.
300 total lines of code is kind of insane tho with my limited knowledge of coding (my experience is as far as slight HTML and a bootstrap class in middle school lol)
I made actually pretty good progress! Even though my original goal is now completely destroyed bc of irl events, I still feel that just starting this thread in this forum has made me so much more passionate about writing. Aloha to all and mahalo! Also, here’s a quick lyric/song I made for the story I’m working on.

I’ll add the translation soon hopefully)
Hi, this will be probably my final post on Camo NaNo July. It's been a blast. Aloha,
(ok, but fr tho, wow, things went REALLY south in the middle of this thing, but I still have no regrets lol. I seriously loved seeing everyone's individual projects and progress during this month, especially the world-building from @Spearmint (totally not biased as a fellow conlang enjoyed lol). I will definitely still be working on Aloha ia 'Oe since I'm way too invested in it, and since I had to learn a whole bunch about the Hawaiian language (btw, did you know that Hawaiian "w" is pronounced as a "v" by a surprising amount of people? shocker, I know). I will definitely try again, maybe in an official NaNo month with way more determination and planning.)
Goals Achieved: A cover art I spent 7+ hours on Learning how Hawaiian Grammar works Rough idea about the flow of the story Writing and deleting drafts wayyy too many times A really fun experience
Thank you for coming along with us! Your cover art is stunning and learning a WHOLE NEW LANGUAGE for a story is crazy. Seems like you did a lot of work when you could, and that’s all that matters! I can tell you put a lot of thought into your writing and that’s great!
Hooray, awesome job this Camp NaNo, Toast!! I'm super glad to hear you had fun, which is honestly the main goal =P You also did a ton of impressive stuff, like your gorgeous cover art and conlang work and, like noah said, learning a language :0, and writing lyrics too?! Very cool Hope to see you again for NaNo !!
