Hello. My name is Verity. I'm so glad to be here! I'm working on a YA/middle grade novel titled 'The Operator'. The main character lives in a utopia, where the dream of every child is to become the Operator. They work behind close doors, but when asked what they do, the Operators always reply with two words, 'We operate.' Most commonly, they are compared to telephone operators.
