Gather ‘round, gather ‘round! We’ve got a special treat for you.
It’s Halloween around this place and the ghosts are shouting BOO!
We’ve got Activities, Workshops and Discussions galore,
We’ve even got some games where the minimum height is not five foot four!

Welcome to Spooktober!

We’ve got a bunch of fun activities coming your way Saturday October 20th – Sunday 21st!

You may have already seen a few things popping up. There’s Spookify Your Avatar by the wonderful @Saen and @Carlito! There’s a spooky roleplay by Saen taking place, maybe some more to pop up too!

We’ve got some Workshops coming your way, as well as some new Storybooks… and a few Spooktacular surprises.

Keep your eye out for more announcements on what’s occurring, I hope to see you there!

The Storybook Crew also has our first of hopefully several spooky Halloween roleplays out: The Castle on the Hill! Come join us as our characters try to survive the night in a haunted mansion straight out of Hollywood.

If writing is more up your dark, spooky alley, then the Gen Lit Crew is pleased to announce a Workshop of their own! If creating a novel full of suspense is of interest to you, then please check out the Building Suspense Workshop!

Even if scary stories aren't your genre, come hang out with some cool peeps :-)

I'm running the Pushing Through in Horror Poetry workshop for this overreaching event but the ghosts haven't let me nail the time into a coffin yet. This workshop will be there to help you liven up old horror poetry pieces or find some spooky imagery for your new humble hollows project.

Thank you everyone who took part in Spooktober!

I hope you all enjoyed the events that were arranged. Any prizes due will be issued ASAP!

It'd be lovely to hear your thoughts on the event, and any ideas for things you might like to see if we come back next year for it?

Thanks again, everyone :D

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
