I think, studying her.

"I like snow," I say, "I haven't seen much of it in my lifetime."
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up
Inside

Semiautomatic
twenty one pilots

I nod, "Snow it is."

I close my eyes and concentrate, snow slowly falling.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

I flash a smile and watch, amazed.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up
Inside

Semiautomatic

I stop the snow and open my eyes, flashing a smile.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

I smile and look back at her, "That's awesome."

I smile, "Thank you."

I glance up at the stars, wondering if I could see my planet from here.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

Project 98

"Hmhmhmhm, how quaint could this planet be? Seems quite, what, twenty-first century?" I walked around the jolly streets of the city, the smiles and happiness of the surrounding population making me feel sick; I would have actually vomited had I the ability.

My spherical head examined the towering buildings and intriguing structures, some of which seemed like failed attempts at twenty-first 'modern art, others just looked like typical buildings, some of which did cross into twenty second, third designs. My metallic feet clinked against the concrete as I made my way across the snowy streets, somethig was odd, considering it had been considerably mild (a human may have considered it hot). I headed over towards a silent park, frowning at the frosting lake. I hate water, I thought. I crossed the red-brick bridge and looked up to the sky.

"No, I haven't forgotten my mission," I snap, before my commander can criticise my actions, "there has been no sign of the target, I will continue to search until the objective has been retrieved."

"You have no choice, '98, just get to work," Lash said back, his evilness coating his words, on which insanity trickled from as it floated through my circuitry. I winced at his reply, I despised being corrected, or criticised, or told I was doing something wrong. It hurt my somewhat indestructable pride.

I closed the communications window and got back to work, muttering a series of profanties, I hated detective work; sure, the killing at the end was pretty fun, but the stuff leading up to it made it barely rewarding. I would have rather just raze this pathetic settlement to the ground. Sure, it seemed like a utopia, but I hated all things perfect; they stole admiration from me. The snow cracked beneath my metallic feet, and I continued to survey the area.
Laments of passion
Obstructed by fear.
Under guises of jovial chatter;
Incredulous hopes
Steadily feasting away-
Eating away at my heart.

Don't sit down and write because you're a writer; sit down and write because you have something to say. And if the sea of ideas isn't flowing, well, just tell me about your day.
