I know we've all probably got several more years to decide, but what do you think? Is homeschooling good enough to pass on, or is it something you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy?

Wow, This is interesting...... I like homeschooling, but then again, in eight years I may never want to think about it again.

Well, I really don't know. This is a good pole, logosgal! I think I would be inclined to homeschool them but if they (or me for that matter) hated it and wanted to go to public/private school, so be it! So I think homeschooling would be my first choice, but if that didn't work out they'd go to school!

I guess I can see the faults of the school system, but depending on the circumstances, they migth end up in private or public. It might also depend on where we were living and the resources we had available.
Sorry for the double post, but I just thought about it for a while.

I'm not really sure. I don't even know if I want kids. If I do have kids, though, I would send them to private school. That's where I went up to 8th grade. A really small private school.

Ummm... I have no idea. I'd ask them what they wanted to do.
Actually, I'd probably let their mother decide about that since she'd be the one teaching them.
I'm inclined to say no, though. I get pretty lonely being all alone at home all the time. Day, after day, after day, after day...

Personally, I don't really want kids. I just...don't like them LOL. If I ever change my mind though, I'd probably send them to the best school I could afford. Homeschooling is awesome and it teaches you some really great things, but at the end of the day I'd rather my kids made friends and all that jazz than turn out like me, a friendless reject XD. Seriously though, I'd want him or her or them to have the best education and opportunities possible, and I doubt that would come from me.

It would depend a lot on what my husband thinks, the schools in our area, and the cost of private school, but homeschooling's deffinately a high-priority option. Unless the public schools are just amazing it'll almost certainly be private or homeschooling, and unless the private schools are amazing and cheep, it'll almost certainly be homeschooling.

I have yet to see an amazing public school. I'm sorry but still teaching stuff in science classes that has been proven wrong, and the people that publish it admit it is wrong just bugs me.

Yeah, I have to agree with TN cowgirl about no public schools being amazing, but not because of the science part..... I think that they promote bad behavior in kids...... hehe, don't tell anyone i said that, will you?
