Conservative Christianity and Dinosaurs

  1. This is an example of religious extremists and is not to be confused with most Christians. Only 0.3% of the people who go on the mentioned site actually follow the exact beliefs that are stated. 0.2% of the people on the site are conservative Christians that do not follow the sites exact beliefs. The rest are there for entertainment.

This is something quite laughable from an extremely religious right Conservative Christian encyclopaedia. Take note that some people believe that the site is actually a huge parody of right-wing anti-liberal Christian views. http://conservapedia.com

This is part of their article on dinosaurs. (Take note that they are anti-evolution and pro-young Earth.)
Creation science asserts that the biblical account, that dinosaurs were created on day 6 of creation[3] approximately 6,000 years ago, along with other land animals, and therefore co-existed with humans, thus debunking the Theory of Evolution and the beliefs of evolutionary scientists about the age of the earth.

First of all, from the no God viewpoint, creation science can be invalid and untrustworthy at times due to the religious bias presented. Next, the Bible stating the creation of dinosaurs at the same time as all other animals is not valid proof against the Theory of Evolution and the Earth's age. (Take note of the presented pseudo-evidence against evolution.)

Creation science shows that dinosaurs lived in harmony with other animals, (probably including in the Garden of Eden) eating only plants[4]; that pairs of each dinosaur kind were taken onto Noah's Ark during the Great Flood and were preserved from drowning[5]; that many of the fossilized dinosaur bones originated during the mass killing of the Flood[6]; and that possibly some descendants of those dinosaurs taken aboard the Ark are still around today.[7]

Once again, creation science cannot be trusted. Next, real and widely proved evidence shows that some dinosaurs were carnivorous (I'd like to see their creation science evidence for a good laugh). Now this next point is a good one: We all know that crocodiles, alligators, and maybe even some birds are the only living descendants of dinosaurs. You might think that this proves the Noah's Ark descendants, it may, but it contradicts their debunking of evolution because we know that there are no living dinosaurs that could be the same unchanged descendants of the dinosaurs. For dinosaurs' descendants to be around today, they would have had to be apart of evolution, evolving to suite the changing ecosystems of the world.

Go to there sight and have a lot of fun disproving them and laughing at them. Also, I would love to hear your responses to the 15 questions that evolution "can't" answer. Found here: http://creation.com/15-questions
I know I can answer a few of those questions. How 'bout you?
  2. I thought they know dinosaurs aren't around any more- after all- they went extinct for their sins
  3. In all honesty, Conservapedia makes me physically sick, I can't tell its a joke or if there are really people out there who are that ignorant.

I'm a God of gaps person, yes I do believe in God, despite being in this club, so I would say most a God had a hand in it and by the way that doesn't mean I don't believe in evolution.
The gaps in the creationist views are larger than the ones in a evolutionist's are.

    2. 'The code is a sophisticated language system with letters and words where the meaning of the words is unrelated to the chemical properties of the letters'

A part of me just died . The author has obviously not taken year 10 bilology. DNA does not contain 'words', just simple letters which most defiantly do reflect the proteins and chemicals they are made from.

In general most of the questions seem to ignore the fact that the earth and the universe are old or are misinterpretations of the theory of evolution One error a year over a billion or so years equals a lot of errors.

I think sexual reproduction allows for more diversity. Say if something produced Asexually with clones, then the whole species would be the same except for a few mutations, say if we where all the same something that could kill one of us could kill all of us. Bye bye species! With sexual reproduction that thing would only kill some of us and the rest left behind would be more resilient.
  4. Well, many of the questions there are still things that biologists are not sure about and are looking in now. But, many of the questions asked are kind of leading questions. Still, they do bring up some interesting questions! I like the question about sex and the one about the mind... they are fascinating to think about!
  5. They are very fascinating Snoink! But if a series of 1's and 0's can create YWS, then I'm sure chemicals and atoms can make me a consciousness :)
I think its necessary to question evolution though just like Einstein question Newton's laws!

Heh. More like year 7 :3
  7. That website makes me feel sick too...

The quote generator! That's a genius idea.
