Hehehe... okay, you probably noticed that I have been avoiding the whole character bios thing. No more! Post a brief summary of what your character has been through before the conflict (aka, story) takes place.

(Note: Hunter isn't his real name, but I wish his real name to be hidden for now.)
Hunter
Hunter lived alone with his mother and father in a cabin. They were miles from any town and settlement, so he lived a moderatly isolated life. He worked hard to keep the house in shape and his parents were the only people he knew for the longest time. When he was strong enough, his father began to teach him swordsmanship.
His mother died of a terrible fever when he was ten, and Hunter grieved for her. His father took it even harder. After they got over her passing, they resumed their normal lives as much as they could. Without his mother there, Hunter had to stitch and sew his own clothes; a skill his mother taught him. His father hunted, and they managed.
One day, his father finally took him to the nearest town, for they needed supplies. What Hunter saw there made him wish for the forest near his home. The town smelled of smoke and manure, bodies clogged the narrow streets, and nearly every person seemed dirty and sinister. When they returned home, he asked his father to never take him there again.
Life went on, and he became a better swordsman from his father's lessons. They were hard lessons, but Hunter accepted them with the willingness to learn and improve. He masterd the use of one sword quickly, and soon began to learn the florintine style (fighting with two blades). He had not yet mastered that, when his life would change.
One day, his father did not return form town when Hunter expected. His father had never been late before. Hunter didn't worry too much though, as he knew nothing could stop his father. He ate supper alone, and eventually fell asleep uneasy. In the morning, a hawk was perched on the windowsill with a note. The note was from his father, telling him to leave the house and wait for him in the woods. Hunter grabbed all he needed and did what his father had instructed.
He waited in the woods for six cycles (the equivalent to years), waiting for his father. There, he grew from a boy to a man, and had no idea how the woods was changing him. Or how he was simply changing. The forest became his home.
Well, that's all I've got, more or less. I could likely turn it into a short story, but I see no reason to do that here. I'll let others have a turn before I post the backrounds of my other characters. -
(Hmm... some of my characters have many layers to them, so a bio would be twenty pages, no joke but we'll see.)
Samuel (at age fifteen)
In 1764, we meet a Boston native - Samuel who is a teenager living in pre-Revolutionary Boston. His noticeable interest in warfare doesn't sit well with his father, whom is a Veteran. Samuel's curiosity and immaturity tests the limits of his father, who has little patience with 'miles of questions.'
As the story progresses, the atmosphere in Boston becomes a hotbed due to the Stamp Act. Bostonians become violent, especially the Son's of Liberty, and eventually by a freak accident, Samuel becomes one of the youngest members by almost knocking one of the founders unconscious - Samuel Adams.
By 1770, Samuel's emotions are tested and his responsibilities to the Whigs and to his family are put into question.
---
Welcome
He is the father of Samuel, and displays a profound contempt with wars or a reference to one. In fact, Welcome sometimes associates weapons as instruments of wars and automatically assumes his son will develop a keener interest and act or appear as a soldier.
Since Welcome is a Vet, and his time spent in the regiment he was a member of, has supplied Welcome several years of unhappy memories. And because of his military past, Welcome acts, or almost senses another war may develop due to the taxing, chaos in Boston's streets and the Boston Gazette's articles. In light of these events, Welcome fears more than ever that his son will enlist if a war does break out.
So, Welcome has two dilemmas on his hands. One, he attempts time and time again to teach and distract Samuel from his warrish fantasies and Welcome constantly worries for his son's safety, especially now that Samuel is a Whig and an avid participate of one of the most rebellious organizations in history.
---
Martha
Martha is the mother of Samuel and is also a Boston native. She's not as opinionated as Welcome, but certainly Martha is as expressive as her husband.
Little is known about her because Martha is usually quiet, and has never spoken of her past. What is known about her is that Martha has a serious demeanor, whom barely shows emotions physically. At one point, Martha had to account for her young child, and an apprehensive and emotionally shattered husband whom was discharged because of an injury to his kneecap. Even her son remarks further in the story that his mother is mentally strong.
Martha supports Samuel's decisions, even if they are reckless, and Samuel's desire to uphold his responsibility among the Sons of Liberty. In fact, and eventually, Martha accepts treason, and partakes in a stunt to prove that Samuel is not the only one that can contribute actions against British Parliament.
---
Samuel Adams
Adams is a Boston native as well and it should be clear almost right away that he shows contempt, and possibly a trace of hatred with British legislation. In public meetings, Adams is a boisterous and an opinionated individual but with friends or acquaintances, he is sarcastic, uptight, and displays a temper.
He was born into an upstanding family. Adam's father, Deacon Samuel, owned a malt business for brewery purposes and was an active member in the ministry. As the young Adams grew older, it's obvious that he lacked in business, and first failed as Thomas Cushing's apprentice in his counting house. In later years, when the elder Adams passed away, Samuel took up his father's malt business but eventually drove it into bankruptcy. By Adams's early adulthood, he became Boston's stamp collector but it was clear that Adams made a hash of that task as well.
It wouldn't be until 1765, that Adams found his niche - politics and the ability to stir people's minds in such a way that Adams saw fit to accomplish his goals against Parliament.
---
Paul Revere
Revere, a Boston native who is primarily a silversmith but is also a skilled engraver. As a Whig, he assisted in coordinating solutions to alter changes with Parliament.
He married Sarah Orne in August fifth of 1757, and by 1765, Revere had four children, each less than two years apart.
When Revere's father passed away, Paul took up the business, and later in life, employed men who finished their formal education for silversmithing and he also accepted eager, hardworking, and intelligent apprentices.
Garrick
(I haven't written about this character yet, so here comes an ambitious attempt writing Garrick's bio.)
He is a Southerner from Virginia who has had an abusive history. Because of Garrick's history, his speech is awful; partly because of an injury in his mouth and the other - reading has never been Garrick's strongest suite.
When Garrick reaches his early twenties, he's unable to pay the property tax, and becomes homeless, walking the backcountry of Virginia. Part of the population are farming folk and being that the population is low, business opportunities are slim, since farmers sell their crops for currency. So, Garrick wanders, searching for food, water, spare clothes or anything that would be of use to him. These 'Wandering Years' and his abusive past shapes him into a bitter person that displays animosity and depression physically and mentally but he also becomes incredibly shy and wary of people. Eventually he shields himself from human contact.
By his mid-twenties, when Garrick has reconciled that his life is cursed, he meets a young women. With a lot of patience on both ends, and Garrick who learns about love for another human being, besides his mother; he breaks free from his 'shyness' shell, and eventually is married.
In his early thirties, Garrick realizes that the life he was born into is abominable, and no matter what pleasantries come to mock any good fortunes he discovers; he is condemned.
Angus
Little is known about Angus's past because he doesn't speak of it but by his deamonor -a rough-neck and sneering type, it could be suggested that Angus either had a strict upbringing or had an unfortunate childhood.
What is known about him is that Angus enjoys making snide comments to people, and takes pleasure in mocking their misfortune, especially when death is involved. However, his high rank, and the pressures it puts on Angus; he performs a habitual practice with prisonors before they suffer the 'Soldier's Death' (firing squad). Indeed, this habit demostrates that Angus has other charactistics he doesn't show openly but privately with prisonors.
He's married, but whether that marriage will hold true, still remains in question. While Angus is tending to important matters that concern maps, tactics and his armies stationed in different colonies, his wife tends to the sickly and injured men in their camp's hospital.

EDIT: Updated changes to bios.
I may have not written a while, but I'm still working on their traits.
Have fun reading the bios, lol. Roaming, Hunter sounds to be an interesting person. From the little I read about him, Hunter seems that he has a story to tell himself! -
Thanks fishr! That was actually the idea. The way I see it (and that I've read in a couple places), the more of a past a character has, the more interesting and believable they are in the present. Even if the reader never hears that past, you know it and it will show in your writting, giving the characters depth. Actually, that gives me an idea. I'll post something in the Writing tips area in a bit. By the way, nice job on your own bios (though I still think Welcome is a very odd name). Now, on to my second main character.
Leona
Leona was born and raised on what would likely be considered the frontier. Some disagreed with that assesment, seeing as how humans used to live in those areas, just hadn't for hundreds of years. Still, records had been lost and so the area was unexplored all over again.
Her father was an adventerous man, a frontiersman and explorer through and through. He all but dragged his family through uncharted woods and plains. His wife had patience with him though, as he was still a loving father to young Leona. Because of all this moving, Leona is a very active youngster. Most of the time her father was not foolish enough to go alone, and there were often settlers and other frontiersman with them. Ocassionally, a settement would rise from where they made camp, but Leona's family never setteled down. When he was out, Leona's mother would often take time to teach her daughter the ways of medicine, mostly of natural remidies they could find in the forest for simple ailments like headaches and sore muscles.
From all the moving, Leona had little time to really develop an intrest other than what her parents did. Because of this, she would often find herself daydreaming. Mostly, these daydreams were of soaring through the open sky, like a hawk or other bird. These thoughts even became her sleeping dreams, and to her those dreams almost felt as though they were real. After such dreams, she would have a hard time getting fully awake, even if it had only been a nap. It was even tricky at times to pull her from her daydreams.
Then one day, her father didn't return from an outing. People had at first thought he was simply gone longer than usual, but after being gone for more than a cycle, nearly everyone thought he was dead. Leona, now 18, nor her mother would believe that, and setteled down in the new settelment to wait for his return. In that time, her mother continued to teach her the ways of medicine, as she was a skilled healer. During this time, Leona learned far more about the finer arts, including stitching, broken bones, and deadly illnesses.
Leona's mother died two cycles later during a viscious storm that all but destroyed the settlement, which was pretty much a town by then. That left Leona to grieve, and to help all those injured. In helping the injured, she discovers her magical abilities. By touch, and concentration, she could ease pain, close cuts, and reset broken bones. She does not think about this until after the disaster is over and she had time to grieve. Leona is unsure what her power is, or why she has it. Her father had told her tales of magic, but would not accept that what she had was magic. She becomes the town healer, and waits for her father's return.
She stays there for several years as such until the arrival of a man named Bennick, who came to her to heal a wound. The night of his arrival, strangers came to her home and tried to abduct her. Bennick saved her and the two fled the town together, Leona finding trust in him through their brief first meeting, though not fully knowing just who he is. -
It's an odd name to us because it simply has been wiped out, litteraly. Throughout the Eighteenth and the middle of the Nineteenth Century, the name Welcome was actually a very common but it was primarly a female name.
Other names that were popular were Comfort, Mercy, Liberty, Heman, Remember, Sophonia etc. I have a decent collection of ancient names because of my other hobby.
Leona sounds like a fun character. I bet you'll have fun with her, or maybe you already are. At anycase, thank you for the comment on my bios. My characters are just.. well, crazy but not as loopy as Snoinks'.

Scarlett
Well, she has quite a lovely little past. She's been sexually abused by her father since she was six. Her grades are constantly hovering at the point of failing for two reasons: A) She doesn't apply herself and B) She can never pay attention long enough to grasp anything that's being taught. She suffers from constant headaches and stomach aches due to stress, and she never talks unless she has to. What an exciting existence she leads.
Charlie
Ah, Charlie. He is such a preppy jock. He is also Scarlett's older brother and the first born of the family, so he naturally has superb leadership skills. As a senior at his high school, he is captain of both his track and baseball teams, and is also the MVP of his football team. He gets straight A's and his teachers adore him, as do the ladies. He doesn't really believe in girlfriends either: he'd much rather go out with a different girl each weekend than just stick to one. In middle school he was a geeky little thing, braces and pimples and everything, but once he hit high school and broke the school's record of the fastest mile, he started getting a little more attention. And now he has blossomed into a complete hunksicle (pronounce like popsicle).
Perhaps more to come later...I still need to work out my other darling main character, Zadkhiel *hugs* -
Allrighty, on to character number three.
Bennick
Bennick grew up in a small town, the kind where everybody likely knows everybody else by name. His parents were practically the definition of common folk, and raised Bennick to be the best he could be. Bennick was a smart child and was usually always at the top of his class in their little school. He always tried to help everyone else out when he could, and was well liked by all. His intelligence soon led him to books, which inevitably led him to his grandfather's house.
His grandparents lived in the same town, and Bennick often spent time with them. His grandfather had his own small library, and Bennick would read these books whenever he had the chance. He also loved his grandfather's stories, which led to tales of the Knights of the Wild. Many thought them just a legend, but Bennick's grandfather believed them to be true, and so young Bennick did as well. In their time together, Bennick learned much of the Knights from his grandfather's tales, and later, his actuall notes and research. One day he vows to continue his grandfather's research into the Knights dissapearence, as well as his grandfather's beliefs that the king was not who he seemed.
It was a sad day when Bennick's grandfather died, as he was well liked and respected. Bennick was 16 at the time. Two cycles later he joined a group of pioneers to create thier own small town, as the one he lived in was becomming a crammped city. With his parents support, he set off.
The town was built a cycle or so later, and Bennick was beginning to create his own reputation. He was one of the strongest men there, despite his only above averaage size, and he was a man of the community. After a friend is terribly injured by bandits, Bennick joins the town malitia and obtains his massive broadsword from the head malitiaman. In his patrols, he finds and defeats bandits trying to rob a tradesman's wagon. The tradesman in mortally wounded and pleads for Bennick to take a chest of important items, or his sacrifice will have been in vain. A bit bewildered at the man's insitance, Bennick takes the chest and brings the man to town for a proper burial.
A short time later the Kings Guard arrives looking for the tradesman. Bennick is wary and keeps the items hidden. Two nights later, the Knights arrive at his home to search the place after hearing that Bennick had found the tradesman and believing that Bennick had the items. Bennick defended himself, killing all but one of the six in the brawl. Shocked at his power and his deed, he grabbed the items, shoved them into a pack with clothes and some food, mounted his horse and took off. He knew in his heart know that there was something wrong about the king, if he would send men to kill people to retrieve the items. That, and Bennick could not see the tradesman as a traitor, not after hearing the man's dieing words and the desperation. Whatever was happening, he was determined to find out. With a heavy heart, he entered the forest.
Unknown to him, the king had sent one of his finest for Bennick was a "traitor", had seen too much, and potentially now knew too much. After all, how could one man defeat six of the Kings Guard, killing five, all in armor? Bennick is not the only one seeking answers. Only those who pursue him know more than he.
Okay, so the last part doesn't seem to fit as well. But it was important and needed saying, because Bennick's history is a short story in and of itself. Man, the short story sounds so much better than the abbreviated version. Oh well. Well, that's three down, two to go.
And fishr, I'm already writing about these first three character. I haven't gotten to my other two in the book, but I have thier stories and they'll be here in a bit. I've actually got the first two chapters and a prologue on the site. If you're interested, it's "Chronicles of Hunter: Origins" under fantasy fiction. A littel heads up, it's novel length so the chapters are a bit long compared to most of what I've seen on the site. -
Lev:
He's an artist that gave up on painting. He fell in love, and let that consume him. He took a regular office job, but only because he needed money. If he could, he would stay in the house and do nothing, and never consider money as a problem. He grew up as an antisocial child, mainly because of his self loving nature. He's very proud, and in a bad way.
Felicion and Fleur: (When they were together as children)
There parents worked too hard to be parents, and they ended up having to take care of each other. Having lived in one room together for the first sixteen years of their lives, they grew deeply in love and trust each other a lot. Felicion saved up money so that Fleur could move to the city and get a job as a model, which never happened because she was too bony to be pretty.
Just Fleur:
While in the city, she met Lev and he courted her. They got married, lived a happy life (though he tried so hard to dominate her every move). She tried to keep in contact with Felicion, but as the years went by it was harder and harder; considering she would have to call him when Lev was out of the house and hope that he wouldn't come home unannounced.
Just Felicion:
After his sister moved to the city, he got a regular job in a factory. The girls liked him, he was hansom, but he didn't think anything of them. He spent most of his time writing letters to Fleur that never made it to her because Lev intercepted the mail before Fleur could receive said letters. -
Mewiv.
Mewiv has long lived under the roof of a crazed doctor on the outskirts of a town called Blesser. No one comes back to blesser if they leave and there isnt another settlement for a thousand leagues. She stays there as a whore for the doctor.
However, she feels she is only useful for this because of her forgotten childhood when she walked in on a praying priest who raped and tortured her. She has pushed his out of her mind and has successfully forgotten.
Her mother and father died soon after the incident and her Grandma was killed by a freak accident on the hills around.
Since then she has been indoctrinated by patriarchal society and acted like a sheep for the evil town Judge, Varzin.
Varzin.
Varzin, power hungry has followed in a long line of Judges for Blesser town. He ascended to being Blesser Judge at 18 when his father died. Since, through clever actions and propaganda has become an unofficial leader of Blesser town who excersises administrative punishment to "help" his people.
Varzin hates religion because they have always had slightly more power than he in Blesser and is over joyed when the Priest leaves. He then in a viscious attack to gain power burns down the judge and orders it to be kept derilict.
Nothing stands in his autocratic rule and he now can place fear into the people to make himself a respected leader.
Derren of Blesser town.
A mysterious priest, one of many perversities and mental sickness. For 40 years he stayed in Blessers dying church, locked himself away and prayed there.
When a young girl ran into the church he seized the chance to try an ancient rite and raped her outright. He saw demons that day and was tempted by a power of immortality and ultimate magic. He packed up and left to travel the world in search of this power.
On his travels he met 15 demons who gave him powers of the earth when he died. He continued collecting powers but they could only be activated once he died on the soil he was born on.
He learned some magic whilst alive which helped him on his journey. However on a healthy travel back to blesser where he was to commit suicide he was captured and imprisoned by the Empire to learn he was the emperors Bastard. The Emperor vowed to make his life hell and tortured him daily.
He escaped when a demon appeared to him and allowed him his powers temprorarily, he blew the prison apart and journeyed to the north.
He decided he would kill himself on the way by drinking only liquor, the closer he was to deatht he closer he would be to his powers. Magic became like a drug to him, he murdered many children on his way to the north to darken his soul to ensure his passage into immortality could be achieved.
He fell down in Blesser and died in weeks, just like Blesser tradition he was burned into ash giving him a form of ash when he respawned. -
Glad I've already done this in my journal!
Eli:
He was born into a well-to-do family, but unfortunately had a brother (Serus) born with a birth defect. He developed a bad relationship with his parents, since he dissaproved of their treatment of Serus and they dissaproved of his kinetic abilities. Serus died of a brain aneurysm at 9. Eli was 11. For a long time he felt responsible for the death. He moved in with his grandfather, Domin, at 13. Domin taught Eli about the work of the Keimo. When his gramdfathed died three years later, Eli took over his work.
Kyra:
She was born to a middle class family who ran a pottery shop. Her parents were secretly part of the Keimo. She was instilled with the Morev research when she was still a baby. When Ivar betrayed the Keimo, Kyra's parents were shot, and she was forced to flee. She became a servant to Gaprey at 11 and stayed for 4 years. -
Now that Joe AND Fishr have done it, I've got to join the bandwagon...
MATTHIAS: grew up in Northern England, where the mother's side of his family were all very rich and proper and his father's side were heretical drunkards- and eventually, his parents divorced. And then, boy meets girl...
LUKE AND JEREMY: the twin sons of Matthias Irwing (a nobody) and Mary Reeves (one of the princesses of England). Yeah...that's very nice and all, but there's this group of people, hired by various royal families in Europe that go around and keep the families 'clean' (that is, free of Lukes and Jeremies). So! In order to evade the Hourglass (the order that's out to get them), he hides with them in a Jewish slum in London for twelve years, during which they're constantly followed and threatened, and so they sneak off to Virginia (the America-ish country) in which they're also harassed, but for their nationality and not because of the Hourglass.
LIBERTY: the daughter of one of the richest men in Virginia (behind John Hancock, David's father, and, eventually, Luke). Her older sister was allowed plenty of freedom as a girl, and eventually moved to the British province of India and marries there (and is eventually murdered by a British officer stationed there). Mr. Verplanck decides that he can't have any more of that going on in his family, so he pretty much decides everything for her- and teaches her that men will always do that for her throughout her life. She doesn't really eat (Daddy says she can't), and has a major shock when she goes to her preperatory school and stumbles across a boy's mathematics class...
Yeah, she pretty much ends up excommunicated, too.
DAVID: son of a wealthy Bostonian lawyer (Elijah) and a traditional, Puritan mother (Sarah). They married and had David before Sarah had found out that Elijah was Jewish...and then the fun anti-Semitism comes in. Elijah divorced Sarah (which he could due without her consent because of his mad lawyer skills) and left David with her, so he could move back to Boston and pretend it never happened.
Sarah goes a bit cuckoo. Whilst normal parents would be happy that they have a beautiful child, she decides he's horribly common and Jewish looking, and hires a tailor and several makeup artists to make him ugly.
And then, hearing of this through a man who went to buy Sarah's property, Elijah comes in the house with a grappling hook and abducts David- who, unfortunately, has never left the house or spoken with anyone except for his mother and the servants, so he's quite a bit clueless.
UPTON: Liberty's older sister's son...which makes Liberty his aunt? Hmm.
Anyway, after being shipped to Virginia from India, he lives with one of his mother's mutual friend's, Mr. Barclett, who is a banker in Boston.
And at about age 10, he goes on a trip to South Carolina with Barclett, and the carriage crashes, leaving Upton pinned underneath it in mud and fun forest yuck for several days, until they can find an adequate crew to get him out. This triggers something in his brain and he becomes obsessive compulsive- ergo, the List [of things he's afraid of: blood, sweat, semen, vomit, drool...any sort of bodily fluid].
Slightly after the List is in place, he's admitted to the Appleby's Preperatory School for Boys (that may be the name of it, I have it written down somewhere here
) prematurely- meaning, he's at least two years younger than the other students. Being a fairly shy person and knowing that he's a freak for washing his face eight times a day (plus some fun other things that happen to him), he becomes pretty withdrawn until he befriends his math tutor, Mikhail, and David/Luke/Liberty.
His most prized possession, the wall-scale world map, comes as a birthday present from Barclett, which he uses to model the movements of armies from assorted wars.
ADELAIS: oh, dear. Hmm...Adelais was born into another majorly rich family who are obsesed with being French (France is a huge symbol of wealth and beauty in Virginian society), even though they're technically German. His father and older brothers are avid hunters/bowmen, very manly men, in any case.
Adelais is a bit misunderstood- he likes fishing and that sort of thing, but he's more artistically inclined than any of the others and is quickly alienated. Of course, there's also the fact that he's bi-polar and has a closely-spaced series of episodes around age thirteen, leading to some more distrust. And then to top it all off, Nicholas, the cook's son (whom he's had the beginnings of a crush on for quite a long time) starts paying attention to him, and this blossoms into this twisted, one-sided love affair in which Adelais is extremely devoted/obsessed with Nicholas, and Nicholas just wants him for...er...yeah. Which eventually leads to routine snogging in the kitchen, which Adelais' father eventually finds out about and isolates Adelais in the attic, and, later, at Appleby's.
Things get very fun with Adelais, certainly...
VICTORIA: the daughter of one of the respresentatives in the quickly evolving Virginian Senate, which automatically makes her up there, as far as social status goes. She was controlled, though not as severely, by her father, and finds a bit of freedom at the girl's school adjacent to Appleby's.
LIEUTENANT: born (as Elizabeth) to an extremely poor set of cattle farmers in Highland Scotland. Her father is taken prisoner for debt and so she disguises herself as a boy and enlists in the British army, which- surprise!- ends up going to Virginia the day after she signs up.
She's a very good shooter, though, but she's very young, so she is promoted to Lieutenant- or rather, the commander of a so-called reconnaissance 'Death March'.
Her boy name (Edward) doesn't suit her, and so she just makes everyone call her Lieutenant. -
And fishr, I'm already writing about these first three character. I haven't gotten to my other two in the book, but I have thier stories and they'll be here in a bit. I enjoy reading all your character's in depth bios, Roaming! Please post more!
Heh, oh, I know all about waiting on characters that haven't taken the stage so to speak yet. It's very annoying, yes?
If you think your chapters are long, clearly you haven't seen mine yet, LOL! So, it doesn't bother me at all. G'luck with your novel! -

Jack:
Grew up with only a father. He was a loner most of his life due to his obsessive interest in the supernatural. He's never done anything significantly wrong in his life except like the supernatural, but his dad treats him like he will never amount to anything except a ghost fanatic. Jack mostly keeps to himself. -
Cool idea.
Arianna was actually born a mermaid, although she herself grew up with no idea. Her parents were the rulers of Milantis and they sent her to the human world under the care of Derien when bloodthirsty invaders tried to take over Milantis. Darien died when she was five, and she was adopted. She was in her Sophomore year of high school when the plot really kicks in.
Brad was your average jock-type quarterback Freshman. Perfect home life, perfect friends, at least twenty girls hanging on him. He was in summer break preparing to go into Senior year when the story begins.
Khrystal's family wasn't well off financially, but her best friend since diapers was rich. The two were practically twins, with the same figure and hair. She loved her father but had a rocky relationship with her mother. She was an only child, and always wanted a little sister. She planned to marry her boyfriend after she graduated two years from then.
Annie had a very rocky past. Her and Mike had different fathers, and each of them left when they found out they were having a kid. Then when she was five her mother murdered her older brother Mike, then killed herself. She was passed around between foster homes for six years, contemplated suicide, ran away once before being found two days later half-dead. One finally stuck when she was eleven, and she's now sixteen.
Donia's past was even worse than Annie's. Her parents were fine and she had great friends, but she didn't get along with her younger brother. Out of spite and childish tricks, she ended up *Shhhhhhhhhhhhh. This is a secret, you can't tell anyone!* getting her younger brother killed. Her life went downhill from there. She couldn't stick a job, ended up a cocktail waitress and was in Walmart buying food with her two-year-old son when she met her current husband. She got a degree and now she's a surgeon, living happily. That won't last though.
Sorry, I have a lot of characters, and this is nowhere near all of the MCs.
