How many words do you have in your word bank for your conlang?
I'll start with my most flushed out one:
Aliki: 581 words (363 nouns, 102 verbs, 14 spells (as in magic spells.. which are technically compounds of existing words), 44 grammar thingies (particles, markers, verb modifiers, etc. the boring stuff), 38 Adverbs and Adjectives, and 20 random things for the fun of it (most are just random sayings and proverbs)

woahhh i def do not have that many for any of mine o.o probably a couple tens for each, if even that much >.>

  • Liminality replied · Apr 25, 2025

I mean there definitely are real-world languages without indefinite articles (like 'a'), so I wouldn't look at it as a problem haha

i got to hear a talk by the creator of the Na'vi conlang (the one in the Avatar movies) and it was so so cool :3
how've you all been? any new conlangs in the works? :eyes:

    ToastK replied · Apr 10, 2025

Not *new* conlangs, but I’ve been refining my existing ones! (Aliki Heatheria, Aka’ani Ana’Kā, Roliesse, and Vhotia)

It’s been a long time since this place’s been active so here’s a handwritten transcript (yes my hands are killing me thx for asking,, or not;;) of the song Olaengsain.

    Spoiler

    Hang fiyer raimangsalada,
    (And never brought to mind?)

    This is so cool!

  • ToastK replied · Jul 11, 2024

This is a part of a poem made by an elf in Aka’ani Ana’Kā. It’s written vertically, Left to Right. It’s a syllabary with vowel harmony (sort of) and is surprisingly difficult to learn because of arbitrary rules that the elves made up.

    Here’s the translation + transcription:
Bloom, Flowers. Show your Petals Flying Elegantly in the Air.

Sitase En'ahaya'o, Pini'ose Nāpilā'Na Kaluhasi Mahatacha Yo Mahaya.

i have followed @inprisonforsparkling's example and made a page on ConWorkShop >.> https://conworkshop.com/view_language.php?l=NIMA
also renamed minapet to nimatep after seeing where the sounds mapped on the IPA chart... since k is more similar to t than to p, and g more similar to p than to t... okay that was a bad explanation xD
anyways CWS is very cool :D a little bit tough to use at first, but it's neat to be able to add so many details to your language :3

    inprisonforsparkling replied · Mar 6, 2024

  • Spearmint replied · Mar 5, 2024

woah wait that's such a cool site 0-0 time to try it for my conlang...

    inprisonforsparkling replied · Mar 5, 2024
