Question of the Week: Week XIV

5 posts in this topic.

  1. Have you ever taken part in a storybook, roleplay or DTWH thread that was set in a school? If you have, was it entirely realistic fiction, or were there other genres thrown in?
  2. I've never done a roleplay that was set in a school, but I've been a part of numerous storybooks set there - and, if I remember right, a single DTWH thread. None of those schools were normal; they all had some magical aspect to them.
  3. I've never done anything set in a school. Not on this site or any other, which is kinda strange now that I think about it. Schools are a rather common setting for me to have avoided this long.

Idk, maybe I'll change that at some point here in the future.
  4. Oh, right. Yes, indeed! Lumi's Academy for Heroes series was a school setting with fantasy and sci-fi elements, and more recently, Marie Curie is a realistic school setting.
For RPs, I'm doing one with Featherstone that's a fantasy school setting (well, the first arc anyway). I've also done a Yu-Gi-Oh academy one with a group of pals. Hmm... Not sure if these two count as a DTWH, since it's quite detailed, but yeah, that's about it.
  5. I've been in a few school-themed SBs (Academy for Heroes, my own Rousseau’s Academy, Hero High) and various others. I think most were not realistic fic? I know RA was a school for vampire hunters, soooo Urban Fantasy? XD HH was superheros, so was Academy.

I can't recall if I ever did any RPs or DTWHs set in schools, but I'm interested. XD

The simple truth is that authors like making people squirm. If this weren't the case, all novels would be filled completely with cute bunnies having birthday parties.
