Words
They float around me
Like water
A few are discouraging.
Not all of them are.
No matter how I try, some stick with me.
Sometimes, they are heavy weights
Resting on my shoulders
I can’t get them out
I struggle to get them out
It’s like they’re in a jail
Waiting to break free.
Slowly but surely
They’ll find the courage
To slip out
To be free.
