Prompt: a list of directions or instructionsTitle: The InstructionsSpoiler
First, find the path. It's the colour of dusk and dares not speak or call to you, in fear of the shadows hearing and tumbling over bearing gifts of pansies or periwinkles. It's shy and doesn't want this sort of attention. So it hides behind curtains of dark lichen, with just the trail of dust motes floating under the moonlight to draw you to it.
Second, walk the path. It's not that hard. Feel the coolness of the ancient rock as you trail your hand along the side of the steps carved deep into the side of the mountains, the indigo of night time pouring down and colouring the white granite a pale shade of purple. The smell of lilacs.
There is no third step.
(Somewhere here or there the red tip of a petal appears, a flower snout-like, a dragon's mouth. Nosing the crisp air, balanced on a thick hardy stalk that must have been growing in that crag of rock for years. It's been waiting. Hello.)
Prompt: gem's tree picture on InspirobotTitle: Tree-matterSpoiler
The truth of the matter, says the hooded woman under the tree,
is the matter of truth -- linen brownness brushing up against
the thick gnarled base of root, which rises --
and dives into the hole in the wall, where the grey edges of stone
have been worn smooth, like a moon-gate.
Lifting up and out again, out from under the rafters, the black
bark appears and begins to branch out into lean, sinewy twigs:
some long and scratching gently against the house, and others
spread like fingers against the multicoloured sky.
And the yellow leaves come, lightly rustling, about to take flight,
and one takes off from the tip of a branch and floats gently to rest
on the soft tip of her cowl.
Fun prompts! I think these lend well to painting-a-picture type works. c: Might edit/ develop both of these further sometime.
