The only thing it has to have,
Is the first letter of each line spelling out the word or phrase

Here's an acrostic!
nothing's ever really the same after awhile
of course we can never stop time, but
still we keep holding memories between our teeth
turning over words and words and dusty words
and the scraps we saved for quilts that never formed
like snowflakes clutched too tight everything truly
good is fleeting and bound to a single moment
ice melts and flowers fall and light turns to dark
and sometimes feelings fade and it's only memories -
Also I just noticed your directions were an acrostic! Sneaky sneaky @Aley!

Am I able to accept these changes?
Clouded is my mind with possibilities
Could there be a way around it?
Escape from what keeps me here
Part the waters and run free
To stay would be giving up
And accepting the things I can change
Nearly nothing is left of my past
Cannot I just forget it all and
Embrace this new life? -

Learning
Letting go of your bones is
easier said than done.
Although that's what they tell you,
running from your roots can pull them, stretch them but
never cut them.
Influxes of sun-kissed cities and star-sprinkled eyes like nutrients may
nourish you, but your ribosomes are broken, and the chances for
growth are shrinking. -
@Liminality love that acrostic - especially the first two lines "Letting go of your bones is / easier said than done. Nice!
