Directions: To accomplish our objective we will read and comment on poetry picked by every individual in the club on different weeks.
Each week we will have a thread with a poem to talk about.
As a reader it is your job to:
- Read the posted poem
Read questions if they are posted with the poem
Consider answers to the questions
Respond to discussion with something simple or complex
- This could be as simple as "I liked it because ..." or as complex as answering all of the questions
Each week we will have a different person posting a poem for us to interact with. Posters can pick a poet from The Master Reading List or from somewhere else. The list of when people will post is in The Poster's Order, go look for it and find your name.
A poster will be responsible for:
- Create a new thread
Choose [and posting] a YWS appropriate poem
Create a list of questions pertinent to the poem if and only if they want to
Beginning discussion and encouraging discussion throughout the week
Everyone will be a poster at some point. If you cannot do the week you will be in charge of, tell me, I'll move on to the next person and put you at the bottom of the list.
Posters may:
- Choose what poet they want to present
Choose how they wish to present the poem
This means if you don't like the way the first person does it, you're under no obligation to do it that way. You can do it however you want as long as there's a poem that's PG for all of us to read.
- If the poster doesn't post analytical questions, or you're stuck with the questions they have posted, you can use the Analytical Questions thread to come up with a question or questions you want to answer instead.
