I have been doing this every year since 2017 - I will not be posting something every day, and may do some digital art rather than ink, but expect some bird doodles, some bug doodles, and maybe some poetry doodles/edits ~
I'm excited to just do this for fun, so please don't leave me any critiques, but do leave encouragement or chicken jokes if you have any.

inktober 1 - prompt "crystal" 10.01.21

-
Gorgeous chandelier <3 I do think a very classy hen might keep that in her ballroom ~
-
Ah thank you @Liminality!!
Here's some more doodles!
A wolf... or fox? in a chicken suit for prompt "suit"
10.02.21
And an hourglass with a flower inside, and a butterfly outside for prompt "vessel"
10.03.21
I think this uploaded side-ways but whatever you get the idea @_@ -
Yesterday the prompt was "knot" 10.04.21 so I tried to draw a tree that looks like it has a knot.

And today the prompt was "raven" 10.05.21 so I had to do a picture of a raven with words from Edgar Allan Poe's poem "The Raven". I like how this one turned out!
-
Wow! Love that raven!
Putting thw words from "raven" was great idea! -
Thanks @TrinityPoeting! I really like how that turned out too! Gotta love Edgar Allan Poe.
Today's prompt was "spirit" so I went for Holy Spirit dove with some Pentecost flames and hopefully sort of some stained glass vibes. 10.06.21

Ooh I love all these drawings, alliyah!! The hourglass looks super whimsical and neat, and "The Raven" is a fantastic poem :D Have fun with the rest of inktober!! <3
-
Awe thank you spearmint!! Love that poem too!
So prompt for today is "fan" and I am a big fan of chickens so that's what I drew ~ so three days of birds in a row? :] 10.7.21
(I'm actually super proud of how this guy turned out!!)

I'm a day off for inktober so this is for 10.08.21 the prompt was "watch"

Spoiler
Fun alliyah fact is that I hate analogue clocks - because when we were learning about reading time in 2nd grade that was also when my family moved and so I just kind of didn't learn anything for a quarter of school, and now I'm just stubborn and think it takes way too long to figure out what time it is from them, I also don't do roman numerals so when you combine the two it's horrible.
I also despise when people say "quarter til" or a "quarter from the hour" - it takes just as many words as saying "3:15" but is so much less descriptive and my first thought for "quarter" is that it should be 25 - so it just gets even more confusing and requires a math problem to solve what they are meaning. In retaliation I often say things like "it's a nickel until the half bell" or "four pennies until the second quarter" or things that are similarly confusing or non-descriptive of the time. Anyways here's a little artistic reflection on analogue clock interpretation for me~ -
Oh my gosh, I adore that chicken one! So cute and fluffy :3
-
Thanks so much @Seirre! He looks like kind of a grump, but that's my fave drawing so far!
Here's my doodle for the 10.09.21 with prompt "pressure". I love these little stacked rocks / ebenezers I think they're so peaceful / resilient. etc. This was sort of an interesting perspective to draw from to make it look a little precarious but balanced.
and then here's my doodle for 10.10.21 with the prompt "pick" I wanted to do a guitar pick? and then also added the instruments that I can play! guitar, uke, piano, violin. The violin turned out too skinny but they are fun to doodle anyways.

whoops have to catch up here!
10.11.21 - prompt is sour so I drew a lemon tree ~
10.12.21 - prompt is stuck so I drew gum on a shoe / it might post sideways, not sure ~
-
10.13.21 prompt is "roof" ~ (this is a doodle of my church!)

-
A little bit behind because I did not know what to draw for the "tick" prompt ~ so skipped it and drew 2 for helmet.
14 & 15 - helmet + chicken w/ helmet

16 - compass
