    A few years ago, my friends went away and let me take care of their owls. I got to feed them dead mice! I believe that currently they have a short eared owl, possibly a barn owl, and two screech owls. It's been a while since I've been over, but I just thought I might mention it.

    They work with an organization that helps injured birds that can't go back into the wild! One of them has a permanently damaged wing, and two each have a missing eye. So they're not technically her owls, she just takes care of them and they stay at her house. She takes them to presentations with the organization too.

    Oh, a bird rescue. I volunteer at one of those, but I'm not 18 so I can't handle the resident raptors. I released one, however, and can help in the rehab.
