   There are many signs of being a band geek... Post them here!
   ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
   
   1. You and your friends start calling your band director dad/mom.
   2. You see your section more than you see your family.
   3. The band room is your second home. (Or it is your home.)
   4. You can't focus on movies anymore, because you're thinking of how cool the music would be in a show.
   5. You get mad when people mistake a bass clarinet for a saxophone.
   6. Or a mellophone for a trumpet.

   As a bass clarinetist I TOTAL feel #5! So much!!
   
   7. You no longer find saliva disgusting. It's just part of life.
   8. Your instrument is the most expensive thing you own. (I'm looking at you, bassoonist)

   I'd like to add one!
   
   Being a Trumpet player, I don't really get called a Mellophone player, I don't even think anyone in our band knows what a Mellophone even is.
   
   Anyways,
   
   9. When you own multiple mouthpieces and multiple of the same or similar instruments. (5 mouthpieces and 2 instruments!)

   12. You immediately think of the fingering/position whenever you hear a letter A-G

   13. You have parts of music stuck in your head for days on end. Your only relief when it changes to something else.
   14. Whilst listening to the music in your head or actual music, you notice that you were playing your air instrument or conducting. People see.
   15. only strings I think you have one hand nails cut as short as possible and your right grown long to appease your vanity strum/pluck with out a pluck.
   16. When you first dropped your instrument you shrieked so loud people thought that you had broken a part of yourself.

   19. When you have a hard time focusing on anything else when you hear a song you played once come on the radio.
   20. When your favorite episode in a TV show is determined by the fact that your instrument has a solo in the background music. (I totally didn't do this with Merlin)

    ~When you always to a *Buh-Dum CRASH* when someone cracks a joke-even if there are not drums and a cymbal in front of you! *Guilty*

    21. When you memorize your music in a day because you love it so much.
    22. When you freak out because your instrument is on the radio station.
