  1. Guidelines of the Grounds

    The following lists are what The Writer Tournaments expect from their participants, hosts, and staff. If you wish to participate in the games here, please be sure to read them.

    Please post in this thread to confirm you read the guidelines.

    Participant Responsibilities

    Keep in touch with your Host
    Pay attention to new posts in your tournament's main thread
    Post in duels of which you are taking part
    Vote for duels of which you are not taking part
    Provide feedback for the club when improvements can be made
    Pay attention to new posts in your tournament's main thread
    Read the newsletters when in a tournament
    Read and post in this thread to confirm you read it.

    Host Responsibilities

    Announce when voting is open, and advertise threads needing votes
    Create and update prompts in a timely fashion
    Keep everyone informed about deadlines
    Advertise the tournament
    Update the newsletter
    Answer questions about your tournament
    Vote for all threads if possible
    Keep in touch with participants and staff
    Announce the winner
    Create individual rules for your tournament

    Staff Responsibilities

    Help hosts and participants with internal conflicts
    Send out the newsletter
    Help hosts update the newsletter with their information
    Be consistent with newsletter dates and times
    Guide/help hosts along the way in any way
    Answer question on walls
    Be open to discussions and suggestions from members
    Be alternate hosts for current tournaments
    Collect information for the newsletter
    Be involved with current hosts

    Post! Let us know what you think about this list, if you want to see something changed, or if we missed something. These guidelines are subject to change depending on what the TWT needs at the time, so maybe you will see your change in an update.
