Here's some general information about me (& some chief dates you may need to know!)
Joined YWS: October 30, 2017
Joined Squills: January 26, 2020
Why did I decide to apply for Squills?
Well, I'd made reading the newsletter a bit of a habit when I first found out what it was (I think that was in the Spring of 2018). I loved that so many of YWS' wonderful members collaborated to make a newsletter; it was just a reminder of how friendly and warm the site really is, and I wanted to be a part of it. I considered writing a sample article for the editors to review in 2019, but ultimately chickened out
What do I write for Squills?
Since I'm a brand-new member of the Squills Staff, I've yet to write an official article. However, my sample article covered the following:
✳ Storybook updates
✳ Interviews
✳ Workshops
✳ A "featured" tab
✳ Site help links
I plan to cover all sides of YWS and what it has to offer, but I mainly focused on the SB tab for my application
Extra Baggage
I'm a total bookworm and joined YWS for that very reason. I had no idea how easily I'd be sucked into the world of roleplaying, story booking, reviewing, and so much more! This site's like my baby, and although I was on a pretty strict just roleplaying schedule for about a year, I'm so glad to be jumping back into the swing of things. I'm in the process of writing a very long, very complicated piece of poetry (You can find that here, it's definitely a WIP) and drifting between novel ideas. Definitely becoming more involved in reviewing and trying to earn my next Green Room Badge! I also love to sing and perform. I do improv all over the city with some of my best friends and am learning to love myself and to trust the people around me <3. YWS has been an awesome place to express my creativity and meet people who love the same things that I do.
That pretty much wraps up me! If you've got any sort of feedback on any articles I may write or if you've got any more questions, reply to this forum or shoot me a PM! I'd be more than happy to hear what you've got to say. Thank you for reading
