    This isn't the clearest picture so I'll clarify that within their chest cavity, a seemingly random array of flowers and vines grow and some spill out, since that detail is a little difficult to make out.


    Sugar's knee bounced, fingers tapping, the vines that twisted out of their chest wriggling restlessly as they awaited the interviewer. Why they, specifically, had been chosen for an interview was beyond them. Moss would have been a better choice. They were far more interesting.

    That looks so cool.

    The interviewer walked in, eyes narrow, face sharp and angular.
    "You're... Sugar, correct?"
    He was holding an unnaturally straight stack of piles in his hands, a single pen resting on top.

    They shrugged. "The host body isn't all that strong, I'm growing out of it a little."

    "Host body? Are you a ghost or a demon?" He didn't sound surprised, just incredibly bored as he wrote down what they were saying.

    "More like a parasite." They leaned their elbows on the table and craned their head to see what he was writing.

    The interviewer nodded. "What do you mean by kinda?"

    "Hosts get repaired when they get too flimsy," they explained, "It's a bit like getting a new host."

    He nodded, writing that down. "So, how many times have you repaired this host?"

    The room was very minimalistic, just a single couch on the corner with a small wooden table. There was a desk in front of the couch, where the interviewer sat writing his transcript.

    "What made you choose this host?"

    "It was braindead, no chance of recovery. Body was kinda empty and open for hosts. Is this your office?"
