Even though a lot of people don’t like me
Even though I don’t like me too much
I still have to admit I love me
And a lot of people like me a bunch
Even though I like conflict
I like facing opposition
I hate fighting, I hate to contradict
I like people to support and listen
Even though I make my own lion’s den;
Even though I hate everyone I see
I can’t be without them
I dearly hope they can’t be without me
Even though I’m a very negative person
If it’s anything I love it’s happiness and joy
The feeling of happy social immersion
Sounds of banter, jokes, and coy
Even though I act like I don’t care at all
I care a lot about how people see me
Ugly? Weird? Stupid? Even tall?
But either way, I like what I see
Even though I yearn for love
To cuddle with another soul
I realize I have enough
Being a supporting role
I’m sad I can’t currently be a “the one”
A girl’s true love
I have something that has always won
It’s friendship, and it’s more than enough
No matter who you are or could ever be
You love life and all it’s trials, just like me

Sorry about the lack of stanza separation, this site is being a dingus and not letting me put them in.
This poem made me realize that i'm not the only person feeling this way, its beautiful and realistic. You're talented and will go very far
Hi Warionack!
I'm Solly and I'm here to review. I noticed you don't pay much attention to punctuation and that's interesting. I used to dislike lack of punctuation pieces but I have started to see its beauty and to understand the effect it has on the reader. In this case, at least for me, it makes one want to look forward to another line and when you come and see, you have read the whole thing.
However, I think that stanzas could really help improve your poem. Think about it this way... Just like skyscrapers have windows to let the air and the light in, poetry should have stanzas to let the reader have a moment to think about the message you're trying to share. This is just a suggestion though, I don't know if I'm being picky. XD
That's all. Thanks for sharing.

Oh nooooooo I copy-and-pasted this from google drive and the stanza's didn't translate!
Thank's for the honest critique, stanza's are indeed super important.
Ohhhh. Hahaha. XD Okay then! Keep writing~
Wow... You just took virtually every thought in my head and wrote it down.. My head is a scary place to be; I hope you're okay. I love this poem!! I can relate to it soo well!! My favorite part of this poem was "I like people to support and listen/Even though I make my own lion's den" That is so me! I like to know that my friends are there for me, but I hate to trouble them with my problems, I hate feeling that I'm dependent of them. I loved how you used that reference, it made me think that you were a strong person, but you like to know that there are people behind if you need some support. I noticed a typo that I would like to point out to you: "I'm sad I can't currently be a 'the one'". There shouldn't be an "a" in that sentence. I'm sorry if you're one of those people that doesn't like when people point that stuff out, but I'm the type of person that can't just leave that stuff be, I have to tell people.. Loved the poem!! Keep up the good work!!
