Taekwondo My Favorite Hobby and Sport
By, Juan Fantauzzi
Taekwondo is a sport that I love. It’s been part of my life since I was a little kid. Taekwondo has taken over my life and changed it completely. It’s not just a sport to me, it’s a hobby that I love. I enjoy this hobby because it relieves my stress out, I interact with others, and because I stay physically active.
By Taekwondo being a physical sport, it takes my stress away. I remember one time I had too much homework and many chores to do and all I could think of is how am I going to get all of this done in time. That stressed me out. I also remember a problem I had with a friend. I didn’t know what to do or how to solve it. The only thing that could make me feel better and stress less was practicing Taekwondo. It always distracts my mind and makes me enjoy all the kicks I give and receive. After practice, I feel a whole lot better with a clear mind and that’s what makes me enjoy Taekwondo.
Taekwondo is a competitive sport, but it can also get you to interact with new friends and that is why I have lots of friends around my country, Puerto Rico, and around the world. It is so unique how you can travel to compete and meet new people that practice the same sport as you do. I once traveled to a Taekwondo U.S. Open in Las Vegas, and when I got there I already had ten new friends. The only thing that we talked about was where we were from and how much we love Taekwondo. We supported each other in our fights and we had fun. It’s a fun experience and that’s why I love Taekwondo so much.
I also love Taekwondo because I can also stay physically active. It’s not just a sport, it’s also a life style choice. Every time I have my free time I go to the gym and exercise. I also do some Taekwondo forms. Some people may not believe this, but Taekwondo forms help you to tone your muscles from the movements you do. I also do some rounds in the kicking bag and have myself a little fun. By doing all that, I stay active and healthy which I enjoy a lot about Taekwondo.
It’s a bit interesting why I love Taekwondo but it’s been part of my life. I enjoy it very much and that’s what makes me happy. I am proud to be a black belt in Taekwondo and I’m also proud that I represented my country. Who knows? Maybe I’ll end up representing for both U.S.A and Puerto Rico. Anything is possible. All I know is that I love my hobby and that is never going to change.

Hi Tony. I like your username. xD
My first impression of your essay was perfect; there is nothing I appreciate more as a writer than seeing nice organized paragraphs. I want to congratulate you for that because it is very important; it doesn't only makes the reader look forward to read but it also makes it easier for them to comprehend what you're sharing, as it gives them space to think about it. So, good job! ^__^
As far as I know, there are only two things you need to check out, but it's no biggie.
I'm actually not exactly sure, but I would cross out the word "out" in this sentence. I've never seen it like that before... so it may or may not be correct. As I said, no biggie.
In this other sentence, you were talking about something that already happened, so the "is" should be "was". And that's it!!
Your friendly best friend,
Solly
I actually don't care about this sport at all (I have to tell the truth), I'm sorry. But my dad used to compete and he does care, so I thought I'd give reading this a try.
Good main points. I'm sure my English teacher would give you a high five for writing your introduction properly.
Gods homework stresses me out too, all the time. But how does getting kicked make you feel better?
Wow that's a big accomplishment! I've never travelled to very far from home just for a holiday, but definitely not for a sport. I liked how you described the social benefits associated with the sport; a lot of people only focus on the physical aspects.
*claps* Good luck for your future endeavours!
