Kamikaze Folly

by timjim77

Kamikaze Folly

Fighter pilot forty-five
Wanted to make a final dive
He plunged his craft
As he was daft
And didn’t come out alive.

In all his life, he’d never won
A medal that wasn’t consolation
So he tipped his plane
Just like his brain
And caused a conflagration.

Kamikaze
Dance with me
You look hot on fire
Kamikaze
Crash and flee
We’ll make your funeral pyre.

The ammunition had run dry
As he darted through the sky
With a boyish whistle
He became the missile
Who could say that he was shy?

Kamikaze
Dance with me
You look hot on fire
Kamikaze
Crash and flee
We’ll make your funeral pyre.

And as he descended onto ground
There was no one to be found
And he made a crater
That they could think later
Was a folly most renowned.

Kamikaze, you killed no enemy
What did you do?
What did you do?
Kamikaze, you killed no enemy
You killed no one but you.
No one but you

God I still love this, if ya ever come back. Add in punctuation then it'll be perfect. I wish so wish I could star this maybe getting it bumped up will. Overall: I love this.

Yeah, mate it was good. It's a bit sad but still it was fine. But I think this song is a "Row Your Boat" type of song. It's flow is like those type of songs and I don't think it would fit with the current genre of music. If you wanted it to be like a modern music though, it would be like a rap.

Wow this is really good! There are a few lines that seem a little long, but I love the story. A bit ironic, very sad and I'd say pretty real. I like the refrain and I think it wouldn't be hard to set it to music.
Well done!

Inventive. It is sad, but it seems to have perfect form.

(It's kinda supposed to be funny. But sad works too. Thanks.)

That sad, but it does sound a good song
