the greatness
of a flame

is not to be measured
by the strength
of the flame
but by the determination

of the ember
that

glows...
for a spark,
an ember,
are both nonetheless

underestimated
undervalued

and deserving
of twice the recognition
that is
received

for it is the ember
glowing,
pushing,
deciding to keep going,
to pursue on

even though the darkness is overwhelming
and continuing to
envelope
the world

it is the ember
whose determination pulses on
creating a possibility
of creating a flame
later on

oooh! i see the symbolism! *is proud* just because a fire is bright doesn't mean it is great; the ember is greater, because of its determination and steadfastness. yay!

ok, i really liked this, but the line breaks are kinda hard. maybe you should put more words on a line? it would make it a little easier to read.

I'm not really sure what to say about this. You wrote about a fire? What is there behind this, where is the meaning? I can't really get at it. Your line breaks seem kind of arbitrary, and it just breaks everything up in an ackward way. Not to mention, you completely forgot about punctuation, hehe.

To succeed, you need to find something to hold on to, something to motivate you, something to inspire you.
