In My Dreams

Sometimes life just sucks

Without explanation.

All I want is to fall asleep,

To wake up as someone else.

As we grow,

We realize life doesn't change,

Because we want it to.

Sometimes you just feel lonely,

Although circled by people,

And you don't understand why.

Often I wish for someone,

To sit with me on a field,

Covered green,

Laugh about dumb jokes,

That usually aren't funny,

When told by others.

On rainy days,

Maybe we could stand together,

Hold cameras,

And possibly,

Catch a piece of a rainbow.

Sadly,

That person hasn’t came…

A very relatable and toughing piece. I can say that I've been there, and know many others who have, however the piece is a little rough, the words not slowly as nicely as it could. However it's a very nice, and really relatable poem for many, sad however it is the truth of how many people feel. Overall well done, and keep improving.

Welcome to the YWS!

This is a very touching poem, and I can relate. Many of us are wishing for the perfect partner and wishing we could be someone else so that we could like ourselves better. What I've started to understand is that the only way I could be with someone that I want to be with is if I started to love myself for who I am instead of hate myself for what I am not. It's kind of up to us to view ourselves in a greater light so we can ultimately be with someone who will love us for who we are. Anyway, I'm sort of rambling a bit.

Only thing to edit in this is the last line. "That person hasn't came..." should be "come". Probably was just a typo.

As your getting acquainted with the website, just remember that everyone here is happy to help out and loves to chat.

Hi...tinybookfarie here......I love this poem cuz I can totally relate to it. I know exactly how this feels and It makes me sad when I realize That other people are going through the Same things I’m going through. I hope you don’t feel like this everyday cuz it sucks honestly. I would like to say Welcome to YWS and keep on writing

Hi!
Fanta here to review!
This is a great poem! I could really feel the emotions within it. Actually, the only thing I want to point out is that you wrote "came" one the last line instead of "come". Is this inspired by your own life?
In that case, I believe things will get better. For both of us. I'm waiting for that person too.
But that's the thing, waiting.
We're not supposed to wait for that.
We have to look for this person, that both you truly get each other. It's hard sometimes, and it will probably take a little while. But I believe you will find them in the end.

Your friend,

Fanta

Oh, and welcome to YWS!
Sorry, didn't notice at first :)
