I really like thissssss. It's refreshing, blunt, and to the point but it still makes the reader think. You did what a lot of writers and poets tend to stray away from these days, which is simplicity. I like that you did away with all the frilly bullshit and just gave an honest piece. The open parentheses was also a nice touch. It made the poem stand out even more. I also like the title. Your all lower-case writing was cool, too, although I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. My writing is often times lower-case solely because I'm too lazy/preoccupied to press the shift key. Anyway, I like it. Cheers.

Thanks! and yeah, i left it lowercase for a more muted tone.

Well, first off, this is pretty cool. The lowercase lettering definitely fits well with the idea of the poem. With step two, "you try to ignore" is a bit confusing. It has a clear meaning, but the phrase is broken off, which makes it feel kind of stilted and incomplete. The line "you take action" is also unclear. What action do I take? Is it physical, emotional, etc.? Step five is a nice ending to the poem. Although fill-in-the-blank, open-ended pieces irk me, that's just a personal preference, and you definitely don't need to take it into account.

Overall, an interesting work with potential to be better.

thanks, i"ll work on it!

Actually I like the fact the reader is supposed to think about what taking action means.

YES! THANK YOU!

I like that it's all lowercase. It makes it more muted and fits the tone.
I would replace the semicolons with colons, but that's probably a personal choice.
Is step five like you fill in? Like there's no defined step five, it's just what the action leads to? Because that's cool. (Though I'd write "(Insert here)" or something similar instead of just the parentheses)
Take action? What if I don't take action? That's the struggle with 2nd person poems-- you're never sure if the reader is down with the actions you're saying they do. I'd give an example of the action if you stick with that.

I like this. It's simple and weirdly enticing in a relatable way. Kudos, m8

thanks! And actually, i would like to leave the last line open for interpretation. your observation, however, was very on point. thanks again!

Way, way back in the 1988 Presidential election, then Vice President George H W Bush had a phrase he liked to use: "A Thousand Points of Light." It refers to the idea that a community is made up of people who contribute in a thousand, different small ways, but with each helping to illuminate their community. It's a phrase I think about a lot when it comes to YWS. Looking forward, the site will continue to change and grow, but it will always remain a community dedicated to promoting creative writing as a favorite pastime.
