The seconds tick away, stealing my existence,
I feud with them. Each stands for another misfortune,
My heart not full nor my mind fulfilled.
Exiled from the living, my thoughts are left to
Illustrate the nightmare that is filled with
Silhouetted shadows and,
Ruthless romance that is blacker than blood.
Ultimate desolation and discontent of heart,
Nevermore shows the feelings that flood.
No depth of my dreams keep
Insanity from prevailing and
Nights filled with apathy
Grow dark with dread.
O' lonely demise,
Under the wrath of this empty interval,
Time is but an inevitable death.

Excellent poetry!
The first thing that struck me right away was the rhythm and rhyme.
It captures the whole essence of the poem and only further highlights the seconds ticking away even as I read it.
The imagery is also really great especially compared to how short the lines are.
I also love how it seems an entire life has been illustrated throughout the poem and ends with death as life does.
Like I said the shortness of the lines paired with the strong imagery and careful use of enjambment also contributes to the dark effect the poem has.
I really like this poem and think it’s a brilliant illustration of what time is and ultimately its consequences!
Hayo! I saw that this had no reviews and I was like "I anaylse poetry in English, so this should be okay!"

The use of imagery in these lines is used to portray darkness, shadows and maybe secrets? This could be linked to what happens when you die; some people suggest its like a forever sleep or everything is black but really its a mystery. :O

Let's see if it is!
"SecondS Stealing my exiStanCe" I like how the sibilance in this line makes the narrator sound almost bitter about the idea of time - making it sound like he/she sees it as an enemy. Maybe one that has done them wrong, even!
"I feud with them" emphasizes ^ that point ^
The caesura in the second line is well placed, as it allows and forces the reader to stop and think about they're reading a little bit more.
The alliteration on the "F" for some reasons makes me feel the narrator is saying this line in a fed up way. The feud with time is literally everlasting, so this could tell us that he is getting tired of the constant fight - maybe this happens in our subconscious which leads to us dying when we've had enough. Or am I thinking too much?
Also, would the heart and the brain be considered juxtaposition? idk XD
The enjabment from the fourth to the fifth to the sixth to the seventh line helps emphasize to us the fact I mentioned earlier - time is ever lasting. The note I made on death comes from giving up on time is also developed by "Exiled from the living" - I feel smart!
Again, you have used enjambment an even ended up bringing up "dreams", which supports my previous point! The following uses of imagery, I find are all quite dream related, insane, connotes with darkness. This dream related idea is then explicitly related to death, which I find very supportive to everything I've written on this; I read it and didn't understand so I went through line by line and LITERALLY wrote as I went along, which means this poem doesn't backtrack or switch oddly to confuse the reader, which is a very good sign!
Good job, buddy!
Thank you very much for your comment! You are entirely correct! You absolutely nailed the atmosphere that I tried to create with this. I'm glad that it made you ponder and analyse it further, as that was my goal. I wanted to incorporate the feeling of desperation, with the unbeatable enemy that is the concept of 'time', and how it subsequently leads to death. With the semantic field of death and darkness, I aimed to create the musings of what 'time' truly consists of - hence the dream related 'insanity' that you mentioned. I hoped the literary techniques wouldn't go amiss! I do love a good bit of sibilance
(also there's a hidden message if you line up the first letters of each sentence) Thanks again! :3
OH MY GOODNESS, YOU ARE A GENIOUS!!! (I won't write it here, so people can work it out themselves, but BRAVO!!) I just WISH I had noticed that before!
haha thank you so much! :3
