Do you know how many people
died on battle field ground,
fought for independence
saw the dead bodies that were found.
Do you know what time they wake up?
go to sleep?
talk to their family,
or what they eat.
Do you know how many hearts were crushed
when they got that devestating call
that their loved ones were lost
through a gunshot or a plane fall
I really dont think you know
how many tears theres been
how many brothers lost
a close friend or even your kin
So i'll close with this
think about all the families that are hurting down in the core
because they have a friend in battle
so please support the war

I was happy when I read this poem. I was starting to think that I was the only one supporting our troops and the war. Well, actually, I just assumed you were from America as we are always warring with someone. But still, everyone everywhere should support their country. Also if you are American *thumbs up*
Im not the one to spout ideological blather but Im sure you will find somebody that will cite some specific reasons why one should not support the war.
But I am the one who will respond to the poem. It's simple, well written. The second line of the last stanza is unwieldy and brings some awkwardness to the rhythm. Thats about all I can say. The second stanza did provoke some thoughts regarding the humanity of those that us pacifists don't understand.
Keep it up, its great for a 13 year old. Keep it right up.
