I want to write
I want to write
to pick words off the swooping branches, heave with fruit of inspiration
I want to write
to have the pen run out of ink from the amount of times I would scribble only half thought out words on my arm
I want to write
to rub my wrists in pain from frantically typing, to see the word count go up
I want to write
to have swirling snow flakes give not only joy but the urge to find the nearest power outlit becauase this is going to take a while
I want to write
to look at the clock and see thats its been hours since I first sat down on this unforgiving chair
I want to write
to see my characters in everything from clouds to the top 50 song on the radio because this is their story
I want to write
about heart breaks that I can't wait for, if only for the words that will come spilling out
I want to write
in a thousand ways that I don't know yet, with people I haven't met
I want to write

hey there...
...anyway....congratulations for you work....and good luck with your " WANT TO WRITE ".
um i'm not actually good at giving reviews (still a new one here)...but your piece of work is really....UNIQUE....i really like the idea of you wanting to write...i mean yeah we all are here 'caz we like to write.... but to put it in words....its kinda good idea...though there are some problem with rhyming and grammar but never mind ...personally- i often do the same mistakes
Hey there surrealbroken. It's just lizzy stopping by for a quick review of your quick poem. So without further ado let the reviewing begin.
Grammar and Spelling
I am just going to start here because I am not the best at applying grammar to poetry.
1. In this poem, you do not use any period or commas at all to control the flow. I think that you may need quite a few commas but the periods may not be necessary. For instance, here may be a fix for line 1.
Because each set of words is in almost the same format this would work for anyone.
2. I think that this was a mistake but correct me if I am wrong.
Did you possibly mean "met"? If you want to use "meet" the end of the line needs to be reworded.
Other Thoughts
1. On a writing website like this, I know in my case this poem is very relatable, as I try and accomplish the goals of publishing something.
2. Oh my word, the description is so inspiring and thought out. I especially liked the group lines that said,
3. Your poem could also be considered inspiring because you are describing such a common thing.
Oops. Forgot to welcome you before so, Welcome to YWS! Enjoy your stay.
