A girl with a heart of gold, and a soul pure and bold
Is all they see
But deep down, wonder what she really could be?
As she gives her sweet smile, any day or night
There’s a beast growling inside, pounding with all her might
She wants out of this false security
She wants anything but serenity
She wants people to lose their everything
So she can see them aching
Don’t cry or plead, never ask to be free
‘Cause the only thing your doing is giving her glee
Be careful with this one; she could always snap
And once the beast is loose, it won’t ever go back
All you will end up doing is falling for it’s trap
Run; she guarantees death
And it won’t bother her when you take your last breath
Behind every smile, every laugh, every hug
She’s dancing around the deep grave she just dug
She’ll look in there mirror, and what does she see?
Deep within her crimson eyes, the monster is lurking
She’s growling, prowling, giving a twisted grin
Just waiting for the day the child loses
And the monster wins

This is beautiful.
The emotion behind it is stunning and the imagery it just so striking.
I love the rhyme,It adds a eerie aura to the poem.

This is AMAZING.

I absolutely love love LOVE it!
I love the description and the words you used.
It was a perfect length, didn't seem too long nor; too short.
So I just wanted to say, this was lovely and good luck with future writings
I actually like this one, and not only because of the imagery it creates; but also because it's real.
It's simplistic, but it's also beautiful. Warning others about a monster growing within; I really like it.
