Ode to my Mother
You are like the cool wind,
In the months of hot summer dreams,
You are pure as white,
You enchant me from the very first sight,
You have a heart of gold,
Which never seems to grow old,
You are my narrator for every fairy tales,
You are like the ship with old sails,
"You are the very best" in my view,
'Mother' is name
By which the world calls you.

I love this poem and my mother very much. This piece is very heart warming since it refers to the mother who I believe is the strongest one in the family. I liked the line

"You have a heart of gold,
Which never seems to grow old"

this part touches my heart a bit but sadly some people don't have a mother to show them these things. Lovely poem!

I enjoyed this alot. My mother is my bestest friend to me and your poem defines my emotions and puts them into exact words. She pampers my desires before hers, she helps me through the difficult times of my life and makes sure I am okay.
Some people are somewhat embarresed by their parents. Yet, I am not. I know I am loved by them no matter what.
I loved your last line which said ''mother is the name by which the wor;d calls you'' The word mother is so soothing to me. I always call out this name when in need or pain because I know she wont betray me.
I hope you write more stuff. C:
This rocks.

I enjoyed this poem. I think that this is what most people tend to think of when they think of their mothers. Just two typos: one in the first line (forgot the "t" in "the") and one in the seventh line (forgot the "e" in "tales"). The only thing I was wondering about is why you didn't rhyme the first two lines, but decided to make the rest of the poem rhyme.
